  1. Why do people get labeled as "haters" because they are upset that the app no longer functions and a needed component was removed? It's more appropriate to call them dissatisfied.
  2. There isnt anything anyone can do until Groundspeak fixes this. They should have made the last version (2.5.2) available until they fixed this version but I guess that isnt going to happen. Look around online maybe you can find the last version online and use that until this app is corrected
  3. When that happened to me it actually went through and made multiple log entries (happened yesterday just after the update)
  4. Youre right, my bad.. maybe they will move it if they ever read it
  5. Where is Radar? The compass does not work, you pick 8 days into the 31 day challenge to remove features?! Put the old working version back up until this one is fixed or there is going to be a lot of angry cachers
  6. OK now with the new update (8/8/2013) there is no Radar, the compass does not work.. as evident by the comments in the android play store, so why did you remove the working radar? Is anyone from Groundspeak even reading this??
  7. And more issues: 3. App does not detect .loc files? Kinda pointless to be able to download .loc files and the App does not recognize them 4. My souvenirs never show up, I just get a "Loading" image but nothing ever shows up. I have cleared data and cache and re-installed, they never show up.
  8. I've noticed a couple of things that need attention by the Android developers: 1. The Android app is not detecting the external sdcard, it 'sees' the internal memory as the external sdcard no matter which option I select. I am using the Samsung Galaxy S3 on Android 4.1.2, Using a file manager I see two separate 'sdcards' one is called sdcard0 which is simply a partition on the internal drive, the other is extsdcard which is my external sdcard. This needs addressed. 2. The Android app tends to freeze then crash when accessing offline lists, this happens when the list is rather large (over 50 caches) and happens nearly every time. I am a bit disappointed that this official app is less feature rich as other apps that use the official Groundspeak API.. I hope to see some more functionality added in the near future (akin to the iPhone app perhaps).
  9. Discovered Geocaching by accident. I was updating my Garmin Mobile XT and saw all the GC items so I checked it out... needless to say the adventurer in me just couldnt pass up the hunt. Now my wife, daughte and son in law are hooked as well.. pretty soon my entire family will be out stomping through the woods.
