  1. Yeah.. I've already dropped two in caches over your way (San Jose) and two in caches in Santa Cruz. ... and I've been warned about geostalkers Yeah, budd-rdc was right on one the same day, we were 5 days later, nothing lasts long in these parts! Oh well, maybe someday I will plan my own with our cork theme (we sign wine corks and leave in caches, the purple stained ones smell the best! ) and then I can do some trading. But we definatley will be up your ways again to do some more caches, we need to go back and finish the Holy Grail that was misplaced when we tried for it.
  2. Ohhhh, we are just now getting back into caching after a few months hiatus so missed all this coin craze the past few months! Those are real nice! Come caching back over this way, I'm guessing you work not too far away (hint hint) or maybe we need to get back over the hill soon and follow behind your caching?
  3. Thought this would be a perfect time to check on a few of our Alum Rock caches late this afternoon, especially the Inspiration Point one! Yippie, grabbed the beautiful ND&BB coin for our small collection. Very nice! For anyone who hasn't visited Alum Rock Park yet, it is just gorgeous right now, so lush and green! Dave picked a good day for it too, weather was perfect, light breeze, we were there as the sun was setting, casting a nice golden glow on the hillside. Saw lots of deer, no turkeys this time but there usually are lots.
  4. A big congrats from us too, enjoyed chatting and 'rolling' with you guys on your #4000!
  5. Bison tubes because of the gasket, therefore keeping out moisture, hopefully. We have a few out there now. We picked up a few at REI and here's another source
  6. Glad to see you're back in action! Had fun chatting with you and hubby at the event. We have a cracked screen on our Garmin, not too bad, in the bottom corner. We haven't been able to bring ourselves to send it in for repairs yet!
  7. Hey, you know how the pictures change on the main geocaching home page everytime you refresh it? I spotted Kealia and daughter on the small right sided one, taken at WoW's A 100 Million Year Walk Earthcache! Hope the link continues to work. You refresh the home page often enough , it will eventually show up. Bet these guys never dreamed this shot would ever make the image banner rotation!!
  8. Alum Rock comes to mind. Probably Santa Teresa and any down south. I know we plan on hiking those before the weather warms too much.
  9. Well then it's a good!! They started appearing right after I posted a new note to the approver. I spoke to that approver at the dinner and got a clearer picture how things are done. We had fun checking on some of them, had to fix one between searchers but I think they were all well received.
  10. Packed house, lots of new faces and a couple of big announcements...Walruz...your turn again!
  11. We noticed this all week, when clicking the Geocaching.com maps, everything but the traditional caches show up. We know there are plenty, we have them in our GPS but they are not showing on the map pages.
  12. so, I posted 4 new caches on Monday and had them on hold for activation for the earliest AM today in time for the Badges dinner. I know that everyone gets their queries done early to get out the door so we were hoping it would be done much earlier. Did we do the request properly? I thought we had made the request clear enough in a note with each cache.
  13. Great show, I recognized all but 2 people. Here is the article from BAB site. It's not quote for quote from the show but close. Bay Area Backroads geocaching segment
  14. I'd like to see them dated like wines, so we know which "vintage" of your signature items to collect... and you may hear comments like this at BADGES gatherings years from now: "2005 was a good year for GeoBrowns" LOL, I like that idea!!!
  15. Hmmm, maybe I will take that class of WoW's, learn to make something that maybe has a cork or wine reference and number them so we can also track them. Great services Marky!
  16. Congrats Wacka, figured you would do it despite that rain on Saturday! We also hurdled thru another 100 and reached another goal yesterday. Gotta start working on those multi's and pesky puzzles now because we are running out of close urban hides and after a few more months, hopefully the parks will be hiked and logged as well, a goal before it gets too warm. Also working on a few more hides.
  17. The images change every time you refresh the page.
  18. Hmmm, sounds like an event cache! Wouldn't a nice feature be if one gets too many ignore marks, they get archieved?!!
  19. Hmmm, wonder who's/what's #1 on everybody's ignore list...well, I don't wonder too much actually, I've got some fun ahead playing with the new features.
  20. Wow, WoW, you have been busy! New Earthcache
  21. And a congrats go out to The Petoskey Stones for #500, in Monterey. He's getting all his work buddies into caching so lunch times are busy for him!
  22. Your daily average since you started is higher than all but 3 or 4 people in the area, keep it up and you'll pass most everyone. ("Or check into a psycho ward, whichever comes first." - Jack Burton) And congrats, speeding Bullit. Uh, yeah, guess it's pretty bad when you spend your Anniversary caching like we did in Concord/Walnut Creek on Sat. But it was just such a purdy sunny day not be outside! Dinner at the Pyramid Alehouse and one last cache in the parking gargage completed that romantic day!
  23. Congrats Bullit, at this speed, I don't think we'll be able to catch up, you are always about 60-80 ahead of us.
  24. We loved Walruz's Union Square Parrot's Perch Secret Trailhead #6 - San Francisco by Marky & Joanie which you can then follow up to Take-a-Peak Those are just a few that stood out the one day we were up there, we want to go a few more times and hit the Golden Gate Park and Presidio areas next time.
