  1. I too was in the middle of going thru my caches and adding them to a bookmarked list and all of a sudden it reverted back to looking like the regular geocaching and I kept getting an error when clicking on a cache. What did u do bullit? I liked that bookmarking feature! The ignore list I never got to.
  2. Well, I am somewhat computer lingo illiterate so I don't understand the beta thing but I do like that site so far! Every time you retrun or refresh the page, the images change too. Back to checking it out.
  3. You'd be surprised by how many duplicates there are on Locationless caches. If not using the Locationless Proximity program, it can be very time consuming to scan all the logs and /or it can be easily missed when scanning. If the rules are set up by the owner that only one log per location is allowed, then it's their responsibility to accept or reject them. A lot don't for whatever reason, maybe the same reason as the cacher.
  4. Hubby has off tomorrow so we will either go for the Earthcache and get it as our # 700 (3 away right now, my how time flies!) or we'll join Nazgul Sunday AM. Showing off my new avatar thanks to Dino Hunters on the main forum.
  5. LOL, well with no real log to sign, I think you'll miss out too many of the cool features WoW is pointing out in the dark. But knowing the FTF fanatics... not mentioning any names mind you.
  6. Ohh, cool. Brad's current job site is off Page Mill and Foothill, I'll see if he can get off early like around 2:30 tomorrow so we can head up there, sounds real intersting. And by the way, edited to add congrats on the first Calif. earthcache according the the Earthcache site!
  7. Pulled my old post from Oct., made slight corrections. Wanted to see if any suggestions come up now. I have since taken the avatar out that I was using as mentioned in the original post and just added this one, couldn't find anything cooler. Bumping since this thread seems more active lately.
  8. Correct me if I am wrong but I do believe if you try to log it again, it will not change your find count, must be something about cookies for that particular cache page. I have seen that a few times on Locationless caches where someone came along and added another find and their count stayed the same. But I could be wrong.
  9. Yeah what he said! Kealia's was my first reaction when I saw this post! I get the real creeps. Fortunatly he claims to not look that bad in real life.
  10. Congrats on #3800 finds, that's more impressive!! And thanks for sending Fizzy this way, he paid Brad a high compliment with the design but actually kudos go to WoW for the inspiration from one of his Assume Nothing caches. Not saying which one since he hasn't come across town to do it yet.
  11. Ohhh, way cool! Should have bought their stock when it first came out!
  12. Quick question...someone here ever break their Garmin screen? How do we go about replacing it? Does it involve sending it in? (Gulp!) We just have a small crack in the corner.
  13. I thought it would be nice to add the picture, taken by Tony, 1/2 of Fogheads.
  14. Hey, that shot turned out great! Glad you had the camera, I always end up leaving mine in the car at the wrong times, this time with hands collecting garbage didn't think I'd need it but that spot and the bird proved me wrong! Did the shot with him taking off turn out? Did you check out the group shot Tony (Fogheads) took of us? Leave to him to always have his camera ready!
  15. How odd, we went for a few hours today and the GPS was all over the place, some over 150 ft off! Had to use hints and geotrails to get several.
  16. Congrats tonight to DavidT & Fisherwoman on 4K and to bullit on 700!
  17. I agree. I'll never forget reading that story of the woman that was attacked down in So. Calif, dragged down the hillside even as her friend beat on it as much as she could. Took other bikers coming along and also going after it to finally make it let go. Then it was spotted afterwards from a helicopter stalking the rangers and searchers as they were nearing the body of a biker it had killed earllier. OK, now I am spooked all over again. Group hikes sound good.
  18. Yikes, that's where most of our caches are and my Mom lives nearby so we often go walking into the park in the mornings! Bullit, how come you see/hear all the wild animal stories?? I have yet to spot anything beyond a deer and turkey.
  19. My personal rule of thumb is if the hide is completely different, and it's more than 200 feet away, I usually make a new cache. --Marky Thanks, that was essentially my idea since it would basically be an entirely new hunt location and container. We'll see how fast this one gets approved.
  20. That's the one I picked up at the Fry's here off Brokaw and Zanker. Another question for anyone, we have replaced our Northwood cache (finally!) but it is not at the same coordinates (other side of park, less than 500 ft) and probably a higher difficulty rating. Should I just redo the exsisting page or create a new one?
  21. Very nice Dave, tickled pink (well green!) that we even made the cut! Glad you got a green one, I ran out of green ink once and hated signing some with black. I know, weird. Now we'll have to focus on getting a few more of those fine signature items, some I know we'll never find. Want to see WoW's collection Sat.
  22. I emailed him and he said the snake was 15-20 feet away from the cache but I will post a warning anyway, one always should remember to not poke around anywhere with hands, we sometimes can easily forget when on the hunt.
  23. Yikes, was that at the actual cache sight bullit? Should I post a warning on it? Just got home from a 3 day trip to Pismo, San Luis Obispo, Cambria and Paso Robles and trying to catch up with everything!
  24. Kind of a last minute request but anyone have any recomendations for this area, we are heading down tomorrow, the 14th for the weekend. While I did a 250 pocket query, I know we will only be able to do a portion so wanted suggestions for some not-to-be missed ones. We are also doing some wine tasting in the area. I know posting in the Central Coast forum may have helped but I hope that many others may have been down that way as well and can suggest some. Thanks in advance.
