  1. Thanks Hzoi, This makes me more curious !! I will indeed keep an eye out for caches published in that area. If i have incorrectly logged, i will edit accordingly . Yes I thought it best to become a premium member in the end.
  2. Thank you everyone for your replies. To those of you who asked, YES it was indeed Mount Major. As some of you said, It maybe for Premium members only. It DID have a code in the note book, but I failed to note it down as I was trying to be quick due to Muggles approaching. (Hand sanitizer )
  3. Getting straight to the point; We found a cache yesterday by accident, and it doesn't appear to be listed or registered on this site ? Do you think we have found a cache in between it being hidden and registered ? Explainer - We were out for a walk yesterday, in an area east of Shepparton. We walked to the top of a large Hill. I needed to answer the call of nature,.....so I did. Finding a suitably out of view spot, I answered the call. As I was answering the call, I happen to spot something unusual hidden nearby. I investigated, and found a cache ! It was a very creative cache in modelled in the form of an old TV. It was made out of a plastic box (20cm x 15cm x 10cm roughly). On the top of the box was a picture to look like the test card on the tv screen. Also there were two wires sticking out of the length side to look like an Ariel. On the whole it was a very creative cache, it was well hidden, I just happened to be lucky. I signed the book inside, it looks like we may have been the first. There were a few little toy trinkets inside also. The Cache was placed back in the spot it was found, and hidden in the same manner as when I found the cache. Mark Mob Leader TheAntHillMob
  4. Thank you to EVERYONE who has replied to my question(s), it is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. Thank you all for clarifying, pointing out rules, and for advice given. Your replies have given me much to think about and consider, and in some cases, re-consider. regards The Ant Hill Mob
  5. Hi to you all, As a recent new comer to this hobby, i wanted to ask about placing a cache. My young son is itching to place a cache, and has taken to this hobby like you would not believe. "Dad !! can we geocaching ???" everyday i get home from work worn out. He's keen !! ok . ............I MEAN, KEEN ! "Dad !! can we geocaching ???" ......Not now i'm on the computer !!! Now i wanted to ask, "Can we do the following ?" Hide a cache, BUT (ITS A BIG BUT) give the co-ordinates for the start of a set of clues, which then lead to the Geocache. So the co-ordinates I give are for example the start of the beginning of a track, the next clue might suggest following the track until another landmark is seen, then the next clue suggests walk toward the landmark. At the landmark, the next clue suggests you can see another landmark that looks like (whatever) and the cache is hidden there. Now in the Cache description, along with the clues, i post a link to a facebook group page (i will set up) that will actually have the actual co-ordinates of the cache, (so not on the actual description page) just in case Mr / mrs Thicky are unable to work out the clues. (yesss, I know I'm Thicky phobic ! ) So this type of cache, what would it be ?? a Multi a Mystery or a Hybrid (if i include a rubber stamp). Thanks in advance, The Ant Hill Mob
