  1. Once you have populated GSAK with PQ's... Use this great Macro to export caches to your 550. It's plug and play, automated, and has a lot of great feature you'll never have if you use normal GC PQ's
  2. Don't really understand the strategies behind it. Sending big PQ's via Mail shouldn't affect CPU utilisation but rather the network load on Groundspeaks Mail Gateway. But why are uncompressed PQ's still possible? An uncompressed 500 pq is approx. 3 to4 times bigger than a compressed 1000pq. Also, if you send them you don't need disk space to store them. Black Friday for GSAK users. Sorry I cannot deliver another Idea except send them via email and disallow uncompressed attachements
  3. I like to use the map on the Oregon to get an overview about caches nearby. Is there any way to have Labels on the geocache-icons e.g. the GC-code? Otherwise I have to select every single icon to get more information about it. Selecting the cache icons on the Oregon map I find anyway awful. Even if I'm teetotal, it takes me usually 2-4 times to hit the "bullseye" :-) PS using the ColoradoExport script on GSAK to import
  4. I use a separate Mailbox for PQs, because I don't want to have these mails in my primary box .Because of that I tick the "alternate email" option on all my PQ's. Unfortunately this seems not to be possible for the "My Finds" query and I always have to forward this mail manually to the other Mailbox. Is there another solution for that ?
  5. 550 has 3.72 GB the 450 only 830MB like the 300. It probably also has the 2000 cache limitation (550 has 5000). With that Pricing ? Guess 399 is the list price while the 550 has a street price. Maybe a better screen ? Other newer GPS receiver than the current STM Cartesio (ST2062)? Other CPU ? We'll see
  6. At the Canale Grande, the gondolieres staying at home (-6C /20F). It think it should work...... ....not
