  1. Sounds a lot easier that what I just went through. So how does the geocaching app get the PQ. Does it integrate directly to my PQ page? If it is that easy, seems worth the $10. Thanks
  2. Thanks....I am just using GeoBeagle (free app). I did some more research and found out that the Droid native browser is what was the problem with the .zip file. I tried using the Dolphin browser and the PQ downloaded form GC.com site just fine. I then used Astro file manager to extract the .gpx file to load into Geobeagle.
  3. Not sure if this can be done. Has anyone had any luck downloading PQ's directly to a DROID from geocaching.com? I have been downloading to computer, then copying the .gpx file to my droid via USB cable. When I go to the PQ page and click on the file to download, I get a message on the droid that the filetype is not supported by my phone. I can copy a file from an email but when I do a 1000 cache PQ and the only option is to download from the site, I get the error message. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, jhazens
  4. Thanks for the replies folks. I'll probably wait a week or so then if it doesn't get logged, I'l do the grab/drop/grab thing.
  5. Haven't had this happen to me yet so was wondering what to do. I swapped trackables in a cache and when I went to log the one I found, it wasn't showing up in the cache. I figured someone just hasn't dropped it yet. Well, I plugged in the tracking code and found that it still shows up in a different cache in a different state and was last dropped there 3 months ago. What is the right thing to do? Wait to see if someone eventually logs it and drops it in the cache where I found it? If so, How long to wait? What are the other options? Thanks, Jeff

    PQ 1000 issue

I'm finding a different problem. Any PQ based on a radius from a single point is working fine, but I have noticed on several Route PQ's that several caches are being missed. In other words, when I campare an area of a Route PQ to the same area in the search for a cache function (or a radius PQ) there are clearly missing caches. I have checked my PQ and all PQ settings are the same for the route vs radius ones I am comparing. The missing caches are random and are all currently active when I look at them.
  7. I have the Tour and it has been working great. I have Blackstar loaded on it (it is a free geocaching software) The program even has links to this site as well as bcaching. It also allows you to import waypoints. I just imported a full pocket quarry (.gpx) with about 400 points in it and it loaded it without a problem. I had heard of some problems with Sprint users but I thought they fixed it. I am on verizon.
  8. Not true for all Verizon phones except the storm. I have a Blackberry Tour that I can use Blackstar on (third party GPS App). I can import either .loc or gpx files as waypoints and track with it. Google Maps as well as Poynt also work utilizing the GPS. I think Verizon is changing their ways. The Tour is slightly newer than the Storm too.
