We found this one one year in Yuma, Az. The best TB port we've found so far! -

Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx Geocache Settings
find waldo replied to Yellow Team's topic in GPS technology and devices
Yellow Team, I bought the DVD so that I could load and change maps in the GPSr whenever I want. I can also load the Topo maps for the areas on the same card. Like Miragee said, it just gives you more options. Once you get the preloaded card, you're stuck with what you have. Just a thought, but if you can change it I would. Also, GSAK is a very good program and coupled with pocket queries, invaluable. Also, you can send waypoints to a PDA using a little program called Cachemate. With all that, geocaching is a hole lot easier!! -
Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx Geocache Settings
find waldo replied to Yellow Team's topic in GPS technology and devices
I have Navigator with a 1 GB sd micro card. I have half the US maps in it. If you try to navigate On Road with no maps, the GPSr will behave as you described. Geocaching is much easier if you use the maps and auto - routing. -

Were you on follow road? If so, do you have maps loaded? -
Depending on price, we'd be interested in 50 -100 of these coins. Please put us on your list.

Probably the easiest way is to search for GCPZF9 and search for nearby caches. The zip code for Truckee is 96161 which is close to Stampede. There are quite a few caches in this area. Have fun Tim (find Waldo)

We're in the NW side of Tucson as well. We are here in the winter Jan - April and several other times during the year. We love it here and geocache whenever we can! find Waldo

Did you say find waldo? HA HA!

That is totally awesome! I also have a hot air balloon and we're currently planning our first hide in the Lake Tahoe area using the balloon! Ropingthewind will have to come out to be FTF this one! In our travels around Calif. with the balloon, we have noticed that quite a few balloonists go geocaching after flying. The two sports seem to go together rather well! Cheers, find waldo

Cameras - Recommendations?
find waldo replied to Katydid & Miles Stone's topic in General geocaching topics
Also, the Olympus is fairly inexpensive (compared to the Nikon) and would be easier to replace if it gets lost or broken. Plus, it is much smaller and easier to take with us while geocaching. -
Cameras - Recommendations?
find waldo replied to Katydid & Miles Stone's topic in General geocaching topics
We use a Olympus Camedia 740 and it does everything we need it to do while geocaching. My wife takes a lot of pictures and does scrapbooking, so I'm getting her a Nikon D70. But for what I need a camera to do, the Olympus is great and easy to use. -

My kids grew up with the Where's Waldo books. When we recently began geocaching, find Waldo just seemed to fit.
