An FTF certificate is a good idea, but I would make my own - it's much better feeling to know that this certificate is unique for the cache than to know that it's just one of thousands of same-looking-certificates... Mezgrman Here's a picture of one of my FTF certificates...

Anyone else use geocaching profile badges?
Mezgrman replied to TheLoneWanderer's topic in General geocaching topics
Hello, I just downloaded the "BadgeGen" macro but it doesn't work! It starts, then I adjust the settings and click on "OK" and it runs. But after it has loaded the elevation information, GSAK brings up an error message and the macro stops. That happens even if I uncheck the "Elevation" box in the macro settings dialog box. It even happens when I uncheck ALL boxes! I hope someone can help me! It's annoying... Mezgrman -
It's not that important to have as much as possible founds, the really important thing is that you have fun! Mezgrman

Oh yes, now that I think about that, it makes sense! Mezgrman

Hello, if I want to send an e-mail to a user whose e-mail adress is given in the profile, I would like to have a "mailto:" link which opens in my mail program instead of a link to the geocaching e-mail site. That would be great! Mezgrman

I think it won't be published because there are too many things you have to do which aren't always easy (finding caches with at least 100 points...) By the way, what's an ALR? Mezgrman

I usally log my DNFs if I was there and really searching but couldn't find the cache. Of course, if I want do do a cache quickly, for example when my bus goes in 5 minutes, and I can't find it because I hadn'd enough time, then I don't log it. Mezgrman

Why the hell do you open a thread because you didn't get any notifications in the last few hours? Just wait and someone will find a cache. Mezgrman

I have the same error... really annoying! Mezgrman

When is a noob no longer a noob?
Mezgrman replied to roziecakes's topic in General geocaching topics
I think it's not just about the number of caches one has found or the duration of one's membership. In my opinion, the more different caches of different types one has found, the more expirience one has. For example, even if one has 1000 caches but just 1/1 rated, then one hasn't as much experience as one who has 1000 caches from 1/1 to 5/5, multis, mysterys, traditionals, night caches and so on. But it's still a thing of your own mind Mezgrman -
What's your browser?

Hello, I just tried to edit a PQ I did about one week ago. I changed the settings, but when I clicked on "Submit Information", it brings me to a error page where it says 500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. This really annoys me because I want to change my PQ settings but I just can't do it! Anyone who can help me?

This feature does already exist! If a cache hasn't been found for half a year (i don't know the exact time period), you receive a reviewer note, and if it isn't found e.g. for three months after that message, the listing becomes archived. Oh, and about the original idea of this topic: I think that isn't a good idea. Caches should be in place as long as possible. When someone else has an idea to place a cache where there is already one, that other person has to wait! Mezgrman

No, that isn't possible. But if you want to have smaller images, why don't you resize them on your computer?

Great Job! It takes very long to load the cache information, but I think that's due to my internet connection That's really a GREAT tool! When I read the RSS Feed about the program, I thought something like "Mmh, seems to be a googd gadget..." but when I downloaded it and tried it out, I figured out that it's AWESOME! Thanks a lot dude! Mezgrman

This is something that really gets me I can't imagine that one could do this that easily by accident. There must have been someone who did it on purpose... How would you block the combo changing without blocking the whole lock?

Oh what a stupid [removed]**! If I had a cache there and I heard of caches disappearing one after the other, I would go and wait for that [removed] and then make him feel like a mushroom on a cacher-trail I'm gonna start a topic in the German Forum about this, wanna know what they say Mezgrman [edited by moderator to remove especially bad potty language. Why should one archive a virtual cache? As there's no physical container, there's nothing one can destroy Mezgrman

For me, the best update is the fixed Encrypt/Decrypt problem! This was something that annoyed me all the times because I had to click 2 pages back in my browser due to the additional loading process! Thanks for all the work!
