  1. Hi -- I'm making offline lists from pocket queries. When I download the results on my iPhone and test them by turning off wifi and cell service, I can't find the photos that belonged to the original caches. I used to be able to do this using the former version of the app (iOS version). I build the pocket queries on the website rather than on the app. Any help? Thanks... IMWhere?
  2. Thanks to all. Special thanks to Markwell for his research in 2007. Selecting the nearest to the center point of the radius is what I was hoping for. Selecting the oldest first along a route was a surprise, but it is certainly good to know.
  3. On many occasions, when building a pocket query (radius about a point or buffer about a route), I'll request 500 caches to be returned. If I get that 500 back, chances are pretty good that more than 500 caches were available. How are those caches distributed??? Two possible examples I can think of: 1) Those points are randomly selected from within the specified area of the radius or the buffer. 2) Those points start at the radius point (or the line of the route) and continue outward until the maximum number has been reached (for example the 500 points were used up within the first 3.5 miles of the 5 mile radius search. Thanks for any help.
  4. Thanks to all who have replied. This post has been moved to the Geocaching Topics forum. The key for me was to find the Waymarking site where I found a catalog of 155 Frank Lloyd Wright sites around the country. So far I have been able to upload *.loc and *.gpx file to my GPSr. Also was successful in creating a map of sites in Google Earth with *.kml files. Life is good. Now to find the remaining 200+ sites and add them to the list. Thanks all for your help
  5. So this is a hypothetical question and the subject is Frank Lloyd-designed buildings. But they could be MLB stadii or entrances to National Parks or whatever. The question is whether anyone has built a pocket query of locations like the above that one could build like a Pocket Query and download to his GPSr? So for example, I would like to build a Pocket Query of all FLW building locations within a 100-mile radius of Chicago and be able to navigate to them based on which sites are closest to my present location. In effect it would be a database of all FLW locations that is similar to, but MUCH smaller than, the listing of all geocaches world-wide. To make life simpler, I wouldn't necessarily have to be able to build a Pocket Query based on radius about a point or buffer along a route, just having the complete database available in geocaching format would be quite cool. And again, this is specific to Frank Lloyd Wright site locations; it could apply to any other similar listing of site themes. Thanks.
