  1. Guess what!

LandRover has another brainyach idea. :anibad::D

Depending on Cent5's thoughts, we might want to pull up and do Galloping Gertie for those who have not done it. This would be way easier than the way we did it during the GHCM. Of course this is only an idea and I will only take credit for it if it works out well and not like another brainyach idea I had a while back. :D

Back under my rock I go. :D

  2. Must be getting cozy under that rock...

It's a big rock and if we squeeze together real tight there might even be enough room for you smart a**. :):D

    Back under I go ;)

  3. I am very new to this.  I am in the Bozeman area.  I really haven't done any caching yet but I also need a GPS.  I am thinking of using my TOPO map program to locate caches and try to find them that way.  Someday I plan on getting a GPS unit.  Not sure what to get yet and I don't have any money to spend on it right now.  I do go out 4 wheeling in my Jeep and thought this would be fun to along with that.  Hope to be out there soon.

I'll bet that if you find some local cachers they would be more than willing to go out 4 wheeling with you and if you where especially nice to them they might even bring their GPSr's along.

  4. I did the Mima Mounds at the Brown Bag Event the day after Doing the 1k with P&K. If all you really want to do is get credit for an Earth Cache it can easily be done in about 30 minutes from leaving I-5 to getting back on I-5 but I think that to really experience the Mima Mounds you will want to spend at least an hour exporing the area.

IMHO save this one for a day when you have the time to really visit the area.

I'll climb back under my rock now and be quiet. B)

  5. Fine for me... Although at the rate this summer is booking up I am sure that my family is going to get a little upset when I am busy every weekend.

I have some zip ties and duct tape if things start getting too bad for you at home.<_<

did I say that out loud?

  6. Mrs. Stump has decided she is interested in this event. But all she has is a road bike. Any tips on renting a mountain bike in the Federal Way area? I thought we could rent one at REI but they don't seem to do that.

I did a look up of bike rental shop in FW and this is what I came up with.

I have never dealt with this outfit so I have no recomendation on them one way or the other, or even if they are still in business.

  7. Here's one for the list Ring of Fire, North of Hoquiam.

This has been on my todo list since my early days of caching way back in October of 04.

  8. Anyone want to carpool up from the Southend?

I plan on comming up for Lifes a Beach then doing come caches between that and the night cache.

I have never done any caching in the area so everything will be new to me.

My Mommy says I can't do any more off-roading for a while.

Guess what LandRover is getting for his B-Day....A new tire for his Landrover B)
