  1. It's happening to me now, it took 15 minutes to log the one cache I found, and enable one I replaced today. Very frustrating.
  2. It would really help if you would explain what problems you are running into. See this thread from Raine about reporting problems. I just created a new route and successfully generated a PQ from it. I did the same thing with an old saved route. (I was also able to get more than 100 caches with each.) Without more information, all I can say is it seems to be working correctly for me. I filled out the box that came up when I tried (unsuccessfully) to create the PQ. I selected a route from my list of saved routes (http://www.geocaching.com/my/userroutes.aspx) by clicking on the "Create Pocket Query" link. I get the infamous "An Error Has Occurred" dialog; clicking "retry your previous request" doesn't help. So then I click on the route name, and try "Create Pocket Query" from the "Create / Edit" page; same thing. When I upload a new route I've created in Garmin MapSource (which has always worked before) and try to "Create Pocket Query" from either the "Create / Edit" page or the list of all of my routes, I get the same error. Finally, when I create a new route (using thenew tool) and try to "Create Pocket Query" from either the "Create / Edit" page or the list of all of my routes, I get the same error. In other words - CAaR is completely broken for me. I can't generate PQs from existing routes or for new ones. I must be using it wrong. I have similar experience with this new CAar feature. Only thing I get is Error has Occured.... It's worked fine for me everytime. Usually if there's a gremlin in the system I find it. I've been having a great time creating routes, and making dog-leg detours in them, this new program is fantastic. Sorry you're having problems.
  3. Whoops! Unbeknownst to me, the text entry field for distance from route on the CAaR PQ page was replaced by a dropdown in the last release that did in fact limit your distance to a minimum of 0.5 mile. That has been changed now to allow you to go down to as little as 0.1 mile/0.1 km. Now I'm happy, thank you
  4. I've been playing with it, I really like the pick and pull feature to alter your route, I've been wishing for that feature. Jon, and Jim, I can't see where I can choose .2 or .3 miles, all I see is the .5 option. Am I missing something?
  5. It looks fine, but I'm going to miss the option for choosing the distance on either side of the Route to search. I like to search only .2 or .3 miles off the road on road trips. This gives me only roadside caches. The new option has a .5 minimum.
  6. With the exception of the times, this has happened to me on several occasions, but only in the last month, and not with every FTF I have found. One of them has two of us logged before the cache was published, and I know we both found it after is it was published.
  7. my personal record is 45 in one day, I could have done more but I wasted time on some Micros in the woods.
  8. Now I know the answer <---------------------------
  9. I use the Garmin 60CSx for Geocaching. My back up is the Garmin 60C because I bought it a few months before they introduced the 60CSx
  10. Did you select the day of the week to run? Yes, I selected the day of the week, which was Thursday. It never ran. Just did yard work today. Just tried it tonight, it worked this time.
  11. I continuously have trouble getting a Pocket Query to run. The ones I have checked to run scheduled days of the week work fine, but if I try to make a new one and run it, I can't get it to work. I made one today for an area nearby, I checked it and rechecked it and it should work, I clicked the "Submit information" 20 plus times with no results. Anyone else have this problem?
  12. I have it now. I got into it near Oroville Ca. while caching April 26th, first rash of the season. I have caught it every year, some really bad rashes, even had it on my Yoohoo.Poison oak log I know it when I see it and try to avoid it, but it finds me anyway. I'm hyper-allergic to it, but gotta cache.
  13. I think I know that Cache, it's on Highway 395 north of Reno.
  14. Whew, after a few frantic clicks, I got it.
  15. Dang, I got that too, and on Saturday morning!
  16. I make these little Cruisers out of resin in a mold. I can make 30 in an hour. I leave them in caches I like.
  17. I'm not sure if you got an answer yet. Go to "My Profile", on the right side, half way down, look for "Set up notifications", on this page click "Create a new notification" from there you can set them up. You can set the miles from your home for new cache listings and type of caches. Welcome to Geocaching, see ya around Lassen county.
  18. Today around One PM I got an Email notification of a new cache in town, I went and found it (not FTF ) Tonight I was looking a GC maps and saw another one by the same Cacher, I never got a notification about it. It was found by a buddy of mine, It was published about the same time as the 1st one. I still have not got an Email about this Cache. Anyone else have problems with the notifications?

    Forum issue

I logged off the forums, and shut down my computer for the night thinking it would solve itself, but this PM I logged back on to see it hadn't. Odd part is, my "Edit my Profile" page shows the changes, they stay saved there, but not on the forum??
