  1. I like the skull and bones at the bottm of the coin. Is that Harry Truman?
  2. Depending how cold it was outside and if it was close to a stream , pond, or lake it may of been a snapping turtle. They burrow into soft mud during the winter.
  3. I vote St Helens... Any chance of getting Harry Trumans face on the coin to? He was quite a character before the eruption in 1980.
  4. I have wooden Geo nickles that I leave in caches. I'm always interested in trading for other personal geo nickles, geo items, coins, etc. Let me know if you are interested in a trade.
  5. Hello all! I'm thinking about coming home in early Summer before I head to Iraq with the Cavalry out of Alaska. Pekin Illinois is my home town and I'm thinking about putting one of my Moun10bike coins up for grab at a cache hide when I come home on leave. I would like to know if any Illinois Geocachers are interested in such a event. I can guarantee it will be fun but won't be easy. It will be for the smart and the strong willed. Let me know if you are interested.
  6. I'm a native of Pekin Illinois but I've been away for over 18 years since joining the Army. I still consider Il my home state.
  7. I have some WA, OR, Canada, and other trade items that I am willing to trade for a Missouri geocoin.
  8. I logged in about 51 or 52 cache finds in 16 hour period at a Cache Machine event last month in WA. Lots of fun.
  9. Hello all. I'm looking for a CA coin to keep. I have a shiny new WA coin I could trade for one. Let me know what you have.
  10. I picked my name because by job for the Army I'm a Cavalry Scout. So I chose Cav Scout for a cache name. I've been a Scout for over 18 years doing all kinds of cool things. If you ain't Cav you ain't S***.
  11. I want to thank GeoRoo for putting the cache in such a good hide spot. I'm not gonna tell anyone how it was hidden but I can tell you it was cacher friendly. And I want to thank Jerrod for going with me in case of me getting stuck or injured on the climb. Jerrod motivated me the whole way to the cache. I even wanted to quit a few times but Jerrod told me that he would never look at the Army the same again if I did not make it to the cache. Always cache with a friend when you are far from home.
  12. Just to let everyone know Defender1 and myself found the cache today and took the Moun10bike coin. The weather conditions were on our side and we had to use snow shoes. After reaching the top we both realized how tough it must of been for Palm Grunt to scale the mountain. I'm sure if he had the conditions we had he would of found the coin last week. Hats off to you Pal Grunt for attempting a tough climb in rough and tough conditions. Please don't take my log entry for the cache wrong. The Cavalry loves the Infantry. Sometimes we just poke fun at each other. Cache on!!!
  13. Hello again all, I forgot to mention that I'm heading to Iraq this Summer for a year vacation. I'm willing to take anyone's personal trade items or TB's with me to log on some miles in a combat zone for you... Thats just the type of guy I am, anyway I need to keep a sense of humor while I am there taking care of my Cav Troops. I will take a picture of your item and send it back to you with your siganture item from Iraq. I'm even gonna put in a cache in one of the FOBs (Forward Operation Base) while I'm there. Don't worry nobody will get hurt at my cache hides. Contact me if interested.
  14. I'm interested in trading for any personal geo signature items. Geo coins, tokens, unusual signature items. If you have em I'm interested.
