  1. A great geocacher, dak's Emu Mob, lost his battle with cancer, passing away earlier today. dak was one of Australia's most prolific geocachers and gave an enormous amount to the geocaching community. There is a discussion (including tributes) on the geocaching.com.au forums, but I am starting this thread as many of his international friends may not be members there. dak always loved meeting with other geocachers, in his frequent travels he would always try and find a caching partner and would often attend events to catch up with others. He has told me many great stories of his caching adventures in what he fondly called "Septic Land" (he meant no offense) and the friends he made over there. dak will be sadly missed by many.
  2. Hey ClydeE, great program, couldn't live without it, would still be a bargain if it was 5 times the price. Don't know if you're looking for extra features to implement (can there be many left?) but: I often look at a cache & in the description field there are additional co-ordinates giving, eg: for parking or something like that. Before I do these caches I add an extra waypoint with a descriptive name eg: "Big Cache Parking" so that that WP appears on my map. Rather than me type these co-ords in, it would be great if I could right click on a cache and select "Extract WP's", and GSAK would attempt to extract the additional WP's as extra caches with some sort of reasonable description attached. Thanks for listening...
  3. How about posting an easily accessible, popular, virtual closer to her house ;-)
  4. I've seen logs where people have removed caches because they've been unable to replace the cache without muggles seeing them do it. Provided the cache is returned as soon as possible (i.e. later the same day), I think this is responsible caching.
