  1. Wow. That's a good question. I'll look for it. I have to clean anyway. Here is is in PDF from their website: http://www.magellangps.com/assets/manuals/...an_color_en.pdf I also just found a new, unopened handlebar mount that I'll throw in with it.
  2. Had to shut the flash off to get the scratch to show:
  3. I have a barely used Meridian Color, has a small scratch on the screen, you have to be looking for it to know it's there. I have the PC/12V serial cable, suction cup car mount, and the DirectRoute software. Also have a regular 12V cable that needs a fuse I can throw in. Asking $275 shipped. Not sure what prices are like for these as I've had my 60csx for a while now. If that's out of line then just make me an offer. I'm in Lancaster County, PA if anyone wants a FTF.
  4. I keep reading the horror stories, mine should be here in the next few days. So how does yours work? I wish we had polls here (or if we do I wish I was smart enough to figure out how to do one.)
  5. Funny, the $39.99 one I bought from RS wouldn't work with my Meridian Color but the $5.99 one from ebay works fine.
  6. Hey how about that, you're absolutely right. I hadn't realized that. I based what I said on the 60c and 60cs having 30 and 20 hours respectively. Doesn't matter now since my 60csx is ordered. thanks everybody.
  7. I have my search for a new toy narrowed down to the 60cx or the 60csx. I don't mind paying an extra $40 or so for the CSX, I mostly mind the claimed 33% reduction in battery life that comes with it. I admit the real compass might be cool to have once in a while but I'm not sure if it's worth having the batteries die that much quicker. Anyway, my question is: If the compass feature is shut off will the CSX have the same or nearly the same battery life as the non-S model? thanks, Josh
  8. I do not think that it will. Here in Europe we did get City Navigator some month ago, and it have the same big chunks as in City Naigator 7. Garmin has only one philosophy, to make more money. So you have to get a new GPS with memory cards. That does seem to be true. Just the same I'd hate to buy today and have CN8 with smaller maps come out next week so at this point I'm not going to buy anything. I emailed Garmin but they say it'll take 5-7 days to get back to me. The size of the maps isn't that important to me since I plan on having the laptop available for longer trips anyway. Nobody knows if there is an official date to "drop" CS7, especially from the GPS18 line? I'll post whatever Garmin replies with if they actually get back to me.
  9. Right, I was assuming Navigator 8 would be the update for Select 7 so to speak.
  10. So I think I have decided on a 60c (maybe a 60cx if the price is right.) I was planning on getting a GPS18 w/CS7 since it's about the same price. My question is, when will Navigator become the standard? I don't want to go get a GPS18 today and have them make CN8 the standard software that comes with it 2 days after I drop the bucks on both toys. Any ideas?
  11. All I can tell from the specs is that the 76c has twice the memory and is a little bigger. With the $100 rebate the prices are about the same. What other differences are there?
  12. It sounds like someone may have a correction for my posting so get a second opinion... or see ref: This posting I got the impression that if I buy it today and the new one is released tomorrow then I might get the upgrade at a discount. If they announced the upgrade yesterday and I didn't know it and bought a model with the old version, then they would give the free upgrade.
  13. Okay, what about Navigator? Is it a better program and will it eventually come standard with the GPS18?
  14. Is the new version coming out soon? I may pick up a 60C and a GPS18 but I don't want to buy them and have the new software come out 2 days later. thanks
  15. It gives me some error about a file not being found. It's been a while since I tried it. I ended up picking up a cheaper cable and it works now with the GPS. Real time tracking is what I was looking for. Guess I need to start shopping for new equipment, that'll be a whole new thread though.
  16. Just bought the cable to convert the serial cable that came with the unit to USB so I can plug it into my laptop. Problem is the laptop sees somethings there but won't communicate with it? Am I doing something stupid? Also, I can only do a typical install but not a full install with DirectRoute. Anyone know why?
