  1. The one way this type of cache could really be cool. If it could fit in your story, use the grave site of famous couple/ person interred in the cemetery. If you do this, then you can either have the story around your cache hunt be true (then it would be educational for local students). OTOH, on the site, you could theoretically put a disclaimer saying that it is "historical fiction" about that person.
  2. Down here in Hawaii, I would tend to think that it is bored teenagers who would do that kind of thing. I personally think it is 1. they don't understand what geocaching is about. People can be afraid of what they don't understand 2. they are afraid that if they don't do vandalize it, their friends will brand them as a "geek" or a "nerd."

  4. Hello, everyone Normally, I don't post to forums because I don't usually post unless I have something to say. That being said, now on to what I haven't put on my profile page. I was born in Buffalo, New York and moved to Aiea, Hawaii (I can see Pearl Harbor from my balcony). I have lived here since 1989. I've basically known about this hobby for a few years now, but for some reason always put off being active. I have just logged my first find within the last week. I've always been a bit of a geek. I have enjoyed more intellectual stuff rather than hard sports. (The one exception is I have had the habit of walking for exercise, ometimes for miles.) What is becoming more and more attractive about this hobby is the blend of walking and solving puzzles. After taking a look at some of the caches here on the island, I have my work cut out for me. - Kantron
