  1. No I did not go near any cache never mind pick them up. I have quite a few on a Watchlist and one of my own hides and noticed idiots wandering the woods and hills and logging them. And I would have thought it fairly easy for the techies to suspend the UK website until the inconsiderate "I know better" idiots learn.
  2. Those who don't understand STAY AT HOME. Round here in Central Scotland there are idiots driving to spots to depart into the woods searching for cache. The guidance here is quite clear. Stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives, yet some plonkers think they know better than health professionals. You are permitted one form of exercise per day and that does not mean driving and having your walk Personally, I've disabled my hides until this is over - and I wish I could block some individuals from my cache in the future - and I think the Geocache website should be suspended until the selfish idiots learn
  3. Excellent. Installed. Huge improvement thank you
  4. That looks interesting, thank you.
  5. Another newbee question ...................... Our grandchildren love geocaching (we like it too!) and we have been using my smartphone until recently, but finding that when the mobile signal was lost, so were we in relation to the cache! But the smartphone map image is excellent. So we bought a Garmin 750, no maps added, but it had a Birdseye Imagery subscription. Thats downloaded for my home area at "highest" level, yet the map image is poor, certainly very inferior to my smartphone map image (but the signal rarely drops!) I've read on here the various map options available to buy from Garmin but before I lash out on improved mapping - can be £300+ - will the map image be comparable to my smartphone? I'm tempted by TOTOActive at circa £45
  6. As IcecoldUK, yes its Ordnance Survey, and per my reply on this thread, I'm all fixed. Thank you all responders
  7. Yes, thank you. I misunderstood Basecamp. Its now on my PC and after a struggle with my account - Garmin Support fixed it and were excellent - I now have Birdseye.... but a little disappointed. I think I'll stick with a decent map.
  8. Forgive me if this is a stupid question but this is a new hobby to me! I have trawled the forum but can't see an answer. Just purchased a Garmin Oregon 750 from OS which stated that it included OS Map 12 month subscription. But thats apparently not the case. The OS map can't be transferred to a GPS! So misled .... Anyway, the offer included 12 months sub to Birds Eye with instructions on how to get it. Downloaded Basecamp to my PC and, using Garmin Express I tried to load it and/or Birds Eye to my device but it states its incompatible! How can I tell if Basecamp is installed? Presumably it will show in the App Drawer?
