  1. You will also see that the people who claim to hate "Urban Micros" have very few 4 or 5 star cache finds.
  2. I live near a State Line (Illinois/Missouri) and have caches in both States. They are both great and quick at getting my caches listed. I'm just glad that some of these anal know-it-all trolls that bash everyones post and think they are Gods gift to Geocaching are not reviewer.
  3. I was talking about the local chapters that put on events to pass out the jeeps.
  4. I hope they where not the only ones to get them. That is what I liked about mailing them this year. They have always given them to groups for events in the past and mailing them was a fair way of getting them out. At the event the "CLICK" horded them . I know one person who every so often releases WJTB'S with zero miles on them.
  5. 18 more days until the contest starts. Anyone get a GJTB in the mail yet?
  6. I'm just wondering, but how do you become a reviewer? I would love to do it.
  7. Mine is "SNAKES". But now that my wife seen a postcard on "GPS The Movie", my son won't go because he thinks we will be killed. lol
  8. Knowing how to use the search feature would help here, too. It's also been covered in detail, and linked to from more than one other topic. Of course, since I'm so negative, I won't take the two seconds to explain it to you, or do the search for you. Thank you, I don't need your help. Like I stated, I didn't want any bashing but that is just how you are. I was in a post last week and you called someone a "TROLL" who had a good question. Just don't like to be around angry, frustrated people like you who have nothing constructive to add. It's always negative. Interesting perspective. I have "known" IV on these boards since he first started, and have always seen him to be helpful and polite, and I can't recall any time he just started out bashing someone. Perhaps you ought to do a recheck, because it sure seems to me that you started in bashing after he gave a reasonable answer, albeit not the one you were probably looking for. As far as MOC's, well, they didn't bother me when I wasn't a PM, and they didn't bother me after I became a PM. I like the idea of listing a cache as a MOC when first hidden, then 'unlisting' it as such after a month or two. I do wish that the MOC's were of a higher quality than other caches, but that is probably too much to expect. These are caches that where open to everyone and then made MOC'S after a few months. I just wanted feedback in a good way. I should of never posted.
  9. All good. I am done with coming to the forums. If I knew how to deleat this post I would.

  11. If the owner or another member gives you the coordinates and you find it there is a way to log it as a find. If the owner then deletes your find because you are not a member then I would have an issue, but otherwise I wouldn't think much about it. Note that members only does not mean the cache is held to a different standard. Many of them are quite forgettable. Do your thing and don't worry about it. How do you log it? It wont let you pull up the page?
  12. Should have known you would bash my post. I'm not going to look at pages and pages of post to see if the topic has already been posted. I have looked at several post and you have somekind of smart reply on all of them. Just because you think you are somekind of geocaching expert on everything related to geocaching. How does it feel to be so angry? You must be a joy to hang around. But because your on the forums 24/7 I wonder if you have a social life. Sorry if I don't know all the tricks (grasshopper) like you. If I spent day in and day out on here like you maybe I would pick it up. Get real dude, all you do is bash and take away from the forums and make people not want to visit the forums. You are definitely a negative part of the geocaching.
  13. I was just wondering what people thought of "Member Only" caches? I can see where someone may want to have a member only cache occasionally for whatever reason. But, to make all your caches member only, I don't get. I cache just to have fun. I think it should be free. There are alot of member only caches in my area that are placed at public locations. I understand that by being a member you help support the website ect. ect. I just don't like the fact that geocaching is turning into a money thing. I would just like some constructive "Pro's and Con's" without all the negative bashing to help me understand. Thanks Wandering360
  14. That is something that you just have to expect in here. I think that it is a side effect of inbreeding. Ignore such drivel. Welcome to the game. To me a "TROLL" is someone who has nothing better to do but spend all day on the forums browsing and nit-picking at everyone post.
  15. You say your placing it "on your trip"? How would you do maintanence or be able to check on your cache? A cache needs to be close enough that you can take care of it.
  16. The jeep webpage now has all the contest details on it. It went online today July 1st

  18. In the past they have sent them to the charter groups in a bunch of 100 to go out at events. I don't remember the number but wasn't last years total number of jeeps 5000? I don't recall cachers being able to request any to be sent to them? You are right, that is how they have done it in the past, but this year you have to fill out a form and even if you send one in they can still reserve the right to not send you one. We all know the big names on the forums will be getting one at least...oh well.... You are right, but we all know how the "little" clicks work. Hopefully Jeep will have a fair way of sending the jeeps out so the "little" clicks don't have control of them all.
