  1. This little guy is coming home in less than 3 weeks to start geo-training. I'm very excited. He is a 5 week old corgi.
  2. And some wonder why the National Park Service wants nothing to do with geocaching.
  3. What is it with people from MN? Please tell me what you think about me and why you have issues. I am dying to know. Really. Life isn't all black and white but the law is. You don't have the right to interpret the law. That is what the court system does.
  4. Do you seriously think that any city prosecutor would entertain the notion of prosecuting someone for writing a set of coordinates on the back of a sign in invisible ink? Do you really think that any judge would waste his/her time hearing a complaint like that? Do you think for one moment that any taxpayer would want a dollar of their taxes going to prosecuting something so frivilous? It doesn't matter if they think it is a waste of time. It is illegal. End of story. I am amazed by your arrogance against the law. And I would gladly spend my taxpaying dollars to fine you and make it mandatory for you to either remove the ink or replace the sign.
  5. Yes, because invisible ink is a reasonable equivalent to human urine and a stop sign is perfectly interchangeable with your doorstep. Since urine is fluorescent under black light it is very comparable. A doorstep is your property and a sign is city property. I don't see what is so hard to understand. It is against the law.
  6. With invisible ink/paint? Are you kidding me? Write your name with water on my house all you want. Just please mow the lawn while you're there. And there is no "name of the website for the cache"... he was asking a rhetorical question. Great! give me your address and I will come urinate on your door step. Want me to spell your name? It will dry clear! It is not invisible paint if one can see it with a light. It is vandalism. IF..IF he or someone else created a cache that used the ink on a sign then he would be registered on geocaching.com. my DON'T DO IT is directed at anyone thinking about doing it or thinking it is okay
  7. I find your passion suspect.. IT IS NOT YOUR PROPERTY. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO IT. IT IS ILLEGAL. I WOULD HAVE SOMEONE ARRESTED IF I SAW THEM DO IT.
  8. Want to know if it is vandalism? Would you want someone to spray/write on your property? I am going to assume that you live in a house. Would you like me to come and write on the side of your house? Have a car? Imagine someone you did not know wrote on your car. Would it aggravate you? Someone will have to clean your mess. It is graffiti and it is illegal. Don't do it. Do it and be prepared to be in trouble. Remember that your name is on the website for the cache.
  9. I am sorry for your loss. We had to put down our 3 y/o Pembroke Corgi about a month ago for sudden liver failure. His birthday would have been this week. It's hard and it stinks. His name was Payton. He was named after Sean Payton the coach of the New Orleans Saints (NFL). His death and our sadness is actually the reason I started geocaching. It has really helped on the weekends to take our minds off of the little man. I just wish he could have enjoyed it with us! I just imagine he is in puppy heaven nudging us in the right direction. Plus, the Saints are doing very well this year! Coincidence? I think not! Keep your head up! Your puppy would not want you to be sad.
  10. I am new to geocaching and I purchased the Garmin Vista HCx with compass and I used it this past weekend to find a pesty cache in a small park. We couldn't decide what side the cache was on but the compass helped point in the right direction. Hope this helps.
