My parents have a guardrail hide that has a log only pill bottel but the clever thing is there is a fake rat( with hair on it ) tied to the other end so either way you find it when you reach in you get the rat first or you get the container with the rat chasing the container out .

Magnetic keyholders are in the guardrails that are around here . They are like lamp post caches .

I have a Garmin gps 60 now and I would like to upgrade to a new GPS and would like to go paperless . I want to stay with Garmin but I don't know which on is the best and the easiest to use ? Oregon , Dakota , the new cs 62 .

One of my sons did a school project on Flat Stanley . This was done before we started caching . The best way to explain Flat Stanley to a geocacher would be that it just like a travel bug only the way we did it was send him in the mail to friends of ours . Then they took pictures of him in neat places then send him and the photos back to us and then my son took them to school .

that is how we do it also . When one of our team members find it they walk away and say I found it . It keeps the young Cachers happy about finds ( my 6 and 9 year old sons ) It dose not always work sometimes some of the adult cachers find it and pick it up without walking off . The kids will let you now that you have broken our team rule .

I work in a hardware store and the best line of glues and epoxy's is GORILLA GLUE . They have a large line of products . The GORILLA GLUE EPOXY is about the strongest thing they have . We used it at work to replace the head if a sledge hammer back on its handle .

thanks for the post . The sigature card that I have seen have been placed in some of the caches that I have found , I thought they where neat but I didnt know what to do with them . I also thought about printing one of my own to put in other caches that had some other cards in them . Also as far as taking them for swag I think it would be fun to collect the signiture cards to see how many a person could find .

Is a signature cards used for swag ? Can a signature card be traded for another signature card only ? Also , Do geocacher collecet signature item like basball fans collect baseball cards ?

I found a 30 gallon rubbermaid container which was like 2ft wide by 3 feet deep that was pretty big! I have one that I'm wanting to hide . How was it hidden ?

I have used www.madcacher.com for my logs . All you have to do is go to the web site send him your E-mail address and he will E-mail you printable log sheets . He also has different size log sheets for micro to regular size caches . Best of all its free .

looking for a cache on a rail to trail a muggle walked by and asked us if we where snipe hunting and we said that that is what where looking for . At a state park we ran into some bird watchers and they asked if that was what we where doing and my dad spoke up and yes we where and talked for a few seconds and sounded like he was just fitting in with there bird watching . They fell for it and we then went on our way to the cache .
