...I think it's time for a few letters to the editor of the Greenville News... This is truely sophomoric. Often times in the past, I have defended journalists; I still believe, that in most cases, journalists strive to be accurate. This article can be disclaimed as opinion; it's unfortunate that the opinion is based on fiction. Yes, write letters (short and concise). I agree with Beowulf83 and others. While you may not agree with the opinion, everyone has one. I will say in looking at the newpaper article it does seem balanced and the reporter went to some lengths to ensure that "Opinions" from both sides were represented. I do have and idea, why not contact the reporter that wrote the article and suggest that she write one on how a bill like this becomes law. Through missinformation, distortion, and opinions becoming facts. Some of the live feeds and portions of the side comments, behaviors etc. Cavalier attitudes displayed etc. Along with the Facts displayed along side the information represented by the legistators would make for very entertaining reading etc. She might go for it. I would also hope that the folks in SC would please, please, please seriously consider hiring a profesional lobbiest who know how things work (Inside the state house) and can gain access we can not. It is money well spent. As I have indicated before just tell me where to send the check. VaraceMan.

As has been put forth a couple of times in the extensive dialog. There is no substutuion for a hired expert!!! GET A lOBBYIST!!!!! They have the access, the ability, and they understand the process probably better than the legeslators them selves!! Tell me where to send it and i would gladly donate 10 or more dollars to the cause VaRaceMAN

Having spent the last two hours reading all the posts, and following the history of this situtation a couple of things have jumped out at me. 1. With the exception of the astonishing efforts of a very few persons (who are taking a substancial amount of time and effort and perhaps there own dollars) out of there real lives, there seems to be no organized effort to deal with the misguided efforts of what appear to be a pretty well orginzed (and funded)attempt to inact this law. 2. Make no mistake that a very few persons who are familiar with the innerworkings of the legistative process no matter how misguided, missinformed, and or rife with private agendas can create laws. (The laws, may not be inforcable, able to gain funding, or ever be used) but they still become law and can be used by others to justify other laws in other locations. 3. If we plan to combat this proposed law, what is needed is someone who can impact the situation by being able to understand, work the process, and gain the leverage needed inside the system via influencing the legistators. (A lobbiest). What I would propose is that a lobbiest be hired to do just that. As this can be expensive I would also propose that a fund be set up to do just that Let me know where and I will have $10.00 in mail the same day. (If only 10% of the memebers of the GoCacaching community donated $10 each think of what we would have.) I live in VA, am somewhat new to GeoCaching, It has evolved into something that has taken me to places that I never knew were there, to see things that I would never have noticed. It has given me another tool to use with my Teenage son to remain connected. While I am not a die-hard Cache or Die type of individual it is something that I do injoy and plan on continueing. I am looking at the Navman GPS 3450 to add to my Comqac PDA. is any one using this package and how does it work? (I am purchasing on line so I cant try before I buy). VaRaceMan
