  1. I just got the same problem using Firefox (9.0.1) and the extension program named NoScript (2.2.6). I tested a few different settings in NoScript since I belived this was the key to solve the problem. I simply had to allow the script "googleapis.com" - then all logs appeared.
  2. Well you can always dust off those old VHS tapes containing the episodes of Borettslaget and start learning finnish right away. (Piirka is making his final appearence in our local TV today, with the last episode.) LOL!
  3. Hello Kai I`m not Swedish, but I found a sort of list you are looking for. Ironically it`s a German website! Well - here is the link: http://www.ahrholdt.de/data/stf-vandrarhem.grm The list is in "decimaldegrees" (DD.DDDDDD) For converting to DD MM.MMM (like the usual preferred geocaching-coordinates): 1) Keep the degrees-number 2) Multiply the numbers behind the seperation mark with 60 Example for the North coordinate in the first one: N58.7847595 -> Keep N58 then 60*0,7847595 = 47,08557 (three decimals is good enough to find geocaches...) Summit: N58.7847595 (DD.DDDDDDD)= N58 47,08557 (DD MM.MMM) If you are fairly good in using computers you can copy and paste this list and do the calculations in i.e. Microsoft Excel. Have a nice trip!
  4. First of all: I don`t know if this issue have been discussed earlier in the forum, but I think that it is time to talk about this (again ?). A majority of postings in this forum are in Finnish. Speaking for myself and other International guests, I think we are missing a lot of interesting issues and discussions - simply because we don`t know the language. After some time I`ve learnt that most of the Finnish discussions are marked with "FIN" in the title field, but not all of them. Especially annoying are the posts where the Title and/or "Topic Description" is written in English, but when I enter the discussion, all of it is in Finnish(!!). Why are you telling us the content in English at all - as long as Finnish is used in the discussion? Such threads makes me (and probably others) just furious, because I assume to read English when the thread is described in English. There are also discussions that starts in English, but suddenly a user starts using Finnish - and rest of the discussion gives me nothing... When you are in a International forum, it is plain courtesy not to mix languages in the postings. Personally I think that native language should be used in National forums only. (I.e. if Finland had its own folder here at the Groundspeak-pages, Finnish would be OK to use). But I CAN accept discussions in Finnish - as long as you marks them like today - AND you don`t give us any teasers in English. Better to know nothing than just a part of it! You see? Like most Norwegians, my Finnish is limited to the words "Hyvää!", "Moi" and "Yksi, kaksi, kolme" Hopefully my fellow geocachers in my neighbouring country understands my frustration (more than my anger) in this contribution.
  5. Hello Captain! Like Hedberg wrote, you won`t find so many Norwegian Geocachers in this forum. To answer your question regarding GPS - I`ll guess the two you got, are amongst the most popular ones. I live som distance away from Stavanger (approx. 200 mi), but I certainly have no problems to help you a bit: If you like to, I can crosspost your wish (with a additional note/information in Norwegian,) to find a helpful local geocacher in one of the most popular Norwegian forums. Feel free to use the "contact user"-feature at my Groundspeak-page, then we can exchange which info you would like me to write. Have a nice day!
  6. As it seems that some of the arguments in this discussion have turned in to "How-expencive-it-is-to-make-a-payment-abroad-via-Internet" - I would like to share some info. I used PayPal to pay my Premium Membership fee. You can pay your PM fee using PayPal (, without having or using a credit card). If you don`t like your bank`s fees for International transfers, here is a short how-to-guide: 1) You can get your own Paypal-account - for FREE. 2) You can transfer money to your PayPal-account via a local (national) bank account. This works in the same way you pay your bills, your local bank will charge the same cost as paying a bill. (You will find your national PayPal bank account number in your login-page.) 3) A few days later the amount is ready to use. 4) You can now make your payment (from your PayPal-account) to Groundspeek - for FREE. Be adviced! If you transfer money directly to PayPal from your Credit/Debit-card international fees may be charged by the card-institution. As an extra service for you Germans, here is a direct link in German (others; delete "/de" for the English version): https://www.paypal.com/de
  7. Since this thread not seems to be "closed" - maybe I can assist you! Warning! I`m not close to beeing as beautiful as The Swedish Viking Hedberg with his Pippi Longstocking-wig! ...and I`m certainly not a woman. BUT... I`m Norwegian!
