There is a really good cache about 4 miles from my house that is in great need of some TLC. I have noticed that the person that placed the cache lives about 150 miles away. And have not been on geocaching.com since july of last year. Also this is the only cache they have ever hidden. What would someone have to do to start taking care of this cache and logs? I have emailed the owner with no response.

Spend enough time hiking in the woods, especially wooded areas close to urban centers, and you will find stoves, refirgerators, cars, and other large items -- not on the perimeter, but WAY back in there in the middle of the thick stuff. I too often wonder how they got the items back in there. And some of the items have been there for a while -- when a small tree has grown through the hole in the floorboard and is sticking out of the sunroof, that didn't happen overnight! I just wished if people are going to hide caches next to a junk pile they would tell about it in there listing. I do not like to take my 4 year old son digging in trash!!!

Why do some people Hide caches in some of the worst places? I have only found 60 so far but some of the ones I have looked for have been in some of the most junky places you could find. Like in places that people have used for dumps. Why would people even think about hiding a cache there. Does anyone else have this happen to them or is it just my bad luck?? Dont get me wrong I have also seen some very nice caches. I just dont understand why people would hide a cache next to a junk pile !!!!! Or why people are so stupid for starting the junk pile in the first place!!!!

I have just posted my first cache that I have hidden. How do I put a picture on the main page. I know how to put them in a gallery, but would love to post one on the front page.

I have 20 acres full of trails and huge rocks. would be a great place to hide a cache. It is not close to anyones home. One of my only concerns is someone getting hurt. Im guessing I would be liable for it. Is putting (hunt at your on risk) on the listing worth anything? Anyone have any input on this??

Does anyone know if you can download waypoints from geocaching.com onto the Garmin eTrex Legend HCx Handheld ? I bought A garmin 60csx but had to send it back because of a bad backlight and was thinking about something a little cheaper.

I just bought a NEW garmin 60csx and there is a shadow on the top part of the display about the size of your thumb . You cant see it that much outside, but see it real bad inside. Is this normal??

Im looking at the garmin60csx, Anyone know if you HAVE to buy extra software for it or can you use it right out of the box to cache???
