just wondering if any fellow cachers could help i have been caching fot about 5 years now and want to upgrade my magellan gps i have heard you can get ones now you can put os maps on so you can see where you at but to be honest i dont know what im looking for so kind of hopeing someone out there can point me in right direction

thanks gaz i have thought about naming and shameing them but do 2 wrongs make a right god imagine the stink it would cause if i did name them what would they send me next

to be quite honest i have sat back and had a good think about it and i really dont want the hassle i have got from just listing as pmo caches i respect peoples opinions if its either right or wrong what i dont expect is certain cachers who just because they rant on here alot having a rant direct to me i mean my email is there for people to use but it is meant to be used in a good way. i can only see us now finding caches, i agree with what you are say that yes we are playing into the hands of this element of cachers but i just dont want any bad feeling with people. we have been members now for a couple of years and just recently it seems as though there is alot of bad feeling expressed in the caching community which looks bad to all who read the forums and i know from a close freind who came caching could not belive how strongly people feel about this what i call a hobby. and to be honest i agree with him ther is a certain element on here that take it that step to far and with me they have taken that step(i sound like super nanny now ). thank you for your comments i may ponder a bit longer over this you never know

Wow... I can't believe someone has actually complained to you via email? It's one thing discussing member only caches on the forum but to go on a direct attack to a specific individual..... there's something wrong there. exactly i cant belive it either like you say its one thing voiceing your opinions on the forums (isnt that what it is for) well i dont really go on the forums much and dont think i will be again, to me this has spoilt caching for myself and family we will of course still go looking for caches but as to the placeing of caches it a no thankyou from us from now on,all i can say is its the small minded ranters that have spoilt it.

if anyone from the local area of barrow in furness /cumbria would like to adopt my caches can they please contact me i have just disabled them for the moment to see if anyone wants to claim them but if no intrest within the week i will remove them and archive them. i have decided to not bother putting out caches ever again due to certain so called geocachers having strong views against me listing them as member only, and as i do caching with my family as enjoyment i feel the minority of cachers who are against member only caches and letting me know this in no uncertain terms by sending me emails have spoilt it for us what a sad life some people live that they cant see everybody has differant opinions on things and they dont repect other peoples opinion you know who you are most of yo you are the ranters on the forums anyway

i for the same reason made my caches member only and now due to all the bad emails i have received as well i have now disabled all my caches and they are up for adoption if no one wants them in the next week i will archive them all i think its very sad when it has come to this

to achillies1964 a big well done from all of the windywalkers for hitting 200 and as fellsmanhiker so rightly wrote they are the ftf specialists around our local area and hitting 200 is quite an acheivement in such a out of the way area and along with placeing some great caches as well long may you continue caching. over and out windywalkers

i justify subscribing as you so well put it ($30 is peanuts) for somthing that all my family enjoys doing we get alot of pleasure from spending time together as a family and feel $30 is very good value and if in turn my subscription helps the site then thats even better another

i am one of the local cachers who has made my caches member only and i have made my caches pm ones because i can ha ha haaa i i love the power i thank geocaching for giving me the power no ranting from me

well we are pm but we dont use any of the features (is there any) i just like to give something back so we can continue caching even if the site is the slowest thing since tony blair and it keeps chucking you off blah blah blah to be honest do i care if you pay or not no its upto you the site gives you that choice now if we were talking the british taxing system now theres one you can shove right up your ---- .

im a travel bug person myself coins are okay but i agree with a comment made about them being more collectable thus people are more inclined to keep for there personel pleasure and just a quick note as well i have used clones of the bedlingtonduo for one of my travel bugs(mark and anette) this is somthing i could never do with coins.someday i will have clones of all the world leaders and take control of the planet oops sorry that was my doctor evil side
