  1. I found one last week. Blank logbook and FTF badge in it. I signed the logbook but it hasn't been published yet.
  2. This might seem silly, but the GPS is turned on, isn't it?
  3. I have a gps 60. When I find a cache, there is an option already highlighted on the screen to mark it as found. It then disappears from the list of caches.
  4. Here are the coordinates from Google maps (I didn't mark the spot). N 50° 56' 28.87", W 2° 48' 32.18" Thanks everyone for your advice. I'll log it if it appears on the site.
  5. Just returned for another look. Definitely no GC number anywhere. Information card for accidental finders directs them to Geocaching.com. There are no other caches nearby so I guess it is waiting for approval.
  6. I didn't see a GC number. Are they usually marked on the container/logbook? It had the usual laminated card inside explaining what a cache is. Maybe I'll go and have another look tomorrow. Thanks
  7. We have a series of caches nearby, one on each bridge over a major road. After finding one with the GPS, we easily found 4 others. One had a FTF badge in it and it looks like it hasn't been published on the website yet. We just assumed it was part of the set. We obviously can't log our find at the moment. Were we wrong to sign the logbook? We didn't realise our mistake until we got home. Advice please!
  8. You could try here http://garmin.na1400.info/routable.php
  9. Thankyou, that is exactly what I was trying to do. Easy when you know how
  10. Hi, I hope someone can help me! I have downloaded a lot of waypoints into Mapsource. I can arrange them by distance, but does anyone know how to list all of the waypoints that are currently shown on the map? So I can upload them to my GPSr. I hope this makes sense. I am looking at an area some distance from home and would like to filter out the caches in that area. If I right click and search for Nearest Waypoints I can't seem to save the list that appears. Thanks. Pete
  11. You can download multiple waypoints as a LOC file then drag it into Mapsource. Then transfer them all to the GPSr at once. That is what I've been doing but I have to write down the other details in a notebook
  12. If it's like my Garmin, you can press Mark, then edit the coordinates to the ones you want. Then select Go To on screen. A bit long winded but it works. You can probably download them from here with the right cable.
  13. There is/was a nice restaurant in Ledbury called The Olive Tree
  14. We love wandering around the countryside with the kids. If we don't find the cache, never mind
  15. I've only discovered how to change the position format today. I was using a calculator to convert thousandths of a minute into seconds. Very time consuming. It was getting me to the location though.
  16. Hi, We just started with a Garmin GPS 60. Was £127. Very pleased with it.
