  1. I'd love to come (bringing dogs and enslaved child or two or three). I'm enslaved myself this weekend, cleaning up the house for in-law visits the following weekend. A night caching session, however, will probably fit in just fine. edit -- either night works
  2. Very good observation! There is a RW conspirisy out there. Or is this left wing (given it's Simms and all)? Still it makes a lot of sense that would just make the trail more economically viable. You would never know if a sewer line ran under it. I know since then Renton interceptor runs under my back yard. I thought something smelled funny They were pretty happy announcing such a big project for just recreational purposes. Still, I'd be happier seeing it go to these purposes than seeing the railroad sell pieces to different evil, greedy developers. Would be too much of a shame to see such a strip broken up. Even if it limited caching opportunities, I'd vote for any county implementation that could keep the dinner train running. Unless they have to rip out the tracks for sewage lines, you'd think they could do something to structure shared use. (conductor's rule -- whistle twice before mowing down dog-walkers; once before mowing down joggers; NA for bicyclists).
  3. I'll throw in $25. Kids love them. Parents of kids' friends aren't so sure.
  4. Saw it -- 47 mile multi-cache -- Sooooooo Coooooool!
  5. Dang - wouldn't one of those GPS gizmos have been handy? That or a Lojack
  6. Whoa - they're paying way more than I would ever have imagined! Makes me wonder if it's worth the hassle of doing what I do (if it weren't for inertia, the deciding factor should always be whether you can earn more for the same amount of effort/pain/sacrifice, or if you can earn the same with less effort). If you can actually enjoy the job -- whoa!
  7. Add me to interested list. I have a couple of inflatable kayaks (2-person Innova and cheap 1.5 person Seyvlor). I'm hoping to do a lot of water caches this summer, and these sound like a great start. We should petition Jeremy to create a Water Cache icon.
  8. Thanks - I'll stand by my commitment to 5 directly, in addition to the group's order. Looking forward to them!
  9. Congrats LittleBlue and Hydnsek! From where I'm sitting, having achieved four digits is very impressive (whether it was seven months or longer). Cache on!

    Wanted

My kids and puppies could take you, Ellylidan! Either that, or me all by myself. Open up, we're coming down!
  11. Can't wait -- Is Cissy & CR ready to confirm orders? Haven't seen anything on their website. I think I'm still down for 4 (with readiness to trade), but haven't seen place to confirm/pay.
  12. Come on - give the kids a few days off! Maybe a week? The 24th is a Sunday -- a nice day for a final spurt.
  13. Has anyone found the hint in the online articles in today's "Adventure" section? I skimmed them, then did some searches for likely numbers, but found nothing. They probably put the clue in between pieces in the print edition of the paper.
  14. Cool! I like the dead trees. Hey Navdog, do you hire out for personal coins?
  15. Hey - LB would still be out there on the course, dinner or no dinner (and i'm reading it at 12:15). You should deputize a few of us (says the guy with 1/5 of LB's total, after beginning 2-3 months ahead of her). She's already creamed the rest of us first year members. You've got to maintain some dignity for the longer-term crowd.
  16. Note that some of the people - like me - that had previously expressed interest in this coin are now part of the group that Nurse Dave mentioned. I'm also part of Nurse Dave's coin group. Please adjust your list accordingly. Thanks! I am part of this list as well so please adjust your totals by four. I will be receiving the coins via the list that Nursedave will be placing with you. Damenace We're part of Nurse Dave's coin group too. So our 3 will come through that order. Me too (see how many of us will quote the same post...) Me too! Oh, I'll run the two lists against each other and filter the group out. (This quoting within a quote, within a quote, within a quote.... is fun) I'm in Nurse Dave's group too, but would be interested in keeping my request for 5 directly (and will either opt out on the group order, or will take both). If this complicates your life too much, please do the easiest thing. Thanks very much for being open to all of us!
  17. Very cool idea! I assume you'll post drop news here? Might want to consider doing a broader group trip beyond the free passes, maybe as a mini-fundraiser for WSGA or other group. I'd consider paying my way, if timing were right (and I don't snag one of the passes )
  18. Excellent job, Ibycus! Thank you very much for the opportunity to collect your organization's coin. --W
  19. They should call a truce, approach 1000 together, get 1000 at the same time, and then race to a designated cache for 1001.
  20. We can also do something positive by simply removing the damaged goods and inappropriate items from caches we find. Nice thought -- CITO isn't just about the ground. It is probably a nice favor we can all start doing. Obviously, we don't want to treat everything as trash based solely on price or utility. Still, I'll admit that I've seen lots of undisputable trash inside of containers that I haven't been thoughtful enough to remove. I'll start doing it. Obviously, note to the owner if the cache gets too empty.
  21. What's up, Pepper? I saw a couple postings a couple of months ago indicating a possible move -- hope (for our sake) that isn't happening. Hope instead you're just culling through your older ones and lowering your maintenance burdens. I've liked your hides and always enjoy putting them on my lists.
  22. April 24. Assuming you keep going, man. Don't just roll over and die on us, now, hear?
  23. I'm willing to give it a try. Anyone assembling a group who wants to add me, let me know. I'm good for up to 5 of each series of reasonably-priced coin, including some version of pre-pay, if that makes it more effective. My inclination to join the movement is based on the reality that I can't check forum posts frequently enough to catch every issue of coins, especially when they are ordered-up to their limits in 2-3 days. Let me know if anyone has room in a group. Thanks.
  24. Nice page. Yes, very nice page. I'm quitting now -- that is one insane collection! Nice job, man!
  25. Sometimes -- sometimes it just makes you look crazier than ever.
