  1. So that I can run multiple PQs I have 3 accounts and I regularly swap between the PQ pages of the 3 accounts by signing out and signing in to the next account when the log in screen appears. Something has changed in that the Sign out from the PQ page now gives an Error 404 message and the only way to swap between accounts is to sign out from the main cacher page which then shows the log in screen and then logging in to the new account and then selecting the PQ page from the new account main page.
  2. I am in the same boat as you with the same Adventure lab although I still have to complete the last leg of it. The map opens for me but that may be because I still have that one active. So at present I have completed 6 of 5. Similarly to you the two "new" labs came up as not found and I could enter the answers from my lounge.
  3. A reply from TPTB regarding the status of this bug would be appreciated.
  4. As my caching profile says. You don't stop caching when you get old, You get old when you stop caching.. I'm 70 and been caching for 13 years.
  5. Thanks Keystone That was what I suspected was causing it. Is there any indication how long this will continue or was it just a once off?
  6. I run quite a few PQs (up to 70 over 3 accounts) which are set up for different states, different Published date ranges and set for "Updated in the last 7 days. Normally these PQs produce 400-700 caches each but a lot of the ones which have run in the last couple of days are returning the maximum 1000 caches. The last time this happened the lackeys were playing around with changes to the log dates. Is something like this happening again?
  7. Adding to Biggles1024 post above about the sub-culture of finding archived caches, if you go to my profile page you will find bookmark lists of caches in all Australian states which I have looked at when they were archived and determined that they MAY still be able to be found and signed.
  8. Yep! I will agree with the previous post. I have been caching for 12 years and the only wildlife that have attacked me have been birds. Magpies, Plovers and Butcher Birds have taken a liking to my head. I find that wearing a broad brimmed hat is a good defence. It is also good for keeping the sun off.. I also carry a hiking pole which is good for waving over the head if you are attacked.
  9. I have bookmark lists of all archived caches in Australia and set to receive emails for any posts on all of them. I have received a number of emails for logs in 2002 in the last 24 hours. I can give GC codes if required... At least one of these caches was locked. I have all of the caches in my GSAK database and have checked and the logs were in the Database prior to my emails so it looks like they are somehow GC is sending delayed emails for postings back in 2002.
  10. The geocaching.au site is independent from this site and has their own listings although they do mirror the caches on this site for statistical purposes only. You will notice that the id# of the caches that are listed exclusively on that site begin with GA whereas the caches listed on this site commence with GC. The Australian site has a number of cache types which are not currently allowed to be listed on this site. Moving caches and Webcam caches are some.
  11. I think you will find most of the locals will be in Stanthorpe on the Friday.
  12. If you know who the CO was you can go to their profile page and look at the list of placed caches. The archived caches will be listed there. You can open the cache pages for them from the list. You can also go to the profile page of a local who has been caching for a long time in your area and look at their list of found caches and you might find the archived caches in thier lists. You can make a bookmark list of the caches and from that produce a PQ which you can import into a mapping program so that you can view them on a map.
  13. If you are going to postpone your event make sure that you give everyone plenty of time to change arrangements.. Some people may be planning to come from a distance away and would be peeved if they have booked accomodation which they can't cancel.
  14. Hi Jorchor Welcome to a change in your life forever. You are not obliged to swap items in a cache. Most times I just sign the log book. Also, some caches are too small to have swaps in them anyway.
  15. As a local to the Brisbane area I am glad to see that Pprime has taken the role of coordinating the local geocaching community so that the chances of negative publicity on geocaching is minimised during this time of heightened security in the area.
  16. The nearest ones this month are Mackay - GC59N6Z Sunshine Coast - GC586KP
  17. In Brisbane the folllowing are for kids. GC2GY2F - Orange Marmalade GC3BTQD - Chase after Tinkerbell (Night cache) GC3R09W - 2915 series (11 caches including a night cache)
  18. The Queensland one has been listed. Get you nominations in now. http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC4X31B_queensland-event-2015-stanthorpe
  19. The trick to rolling the log for nanos and bison tubes is to roll them loosely and then keep rolling between your finger and thumb (like rolling a cigarette) and it will gradually get tighter and tighter until it is small enough to fit back into the cache. Always make it small enough to fit into the lid.
  20. I have been caching since 2004 and my previous streak was 15 days. Currently I am at 133 days and still going.
  21. Have the other problems been addressed? Does it use the local date as the date of the log or does it still use Seattle time? Does it download the corrected coordinates from the cache page? If not it is not going to be of any use to a lot of cachers.
  22. Have you got the PQ to download .gpx files? Maybe you have it only downloading .loc files. They only have the basic data and do not have any logs in them.
  23. Maybe this is the same reason that the corrected coordinates are not working on the Geocaching app on my Android.
  24. Luckily in Australia there are not too many places which use skirts on their lamp posts so we don't have to worry about them. I think I have found 2 in Australia but at least 10 in the USA.
  25. I think you will find that the Lock'n'Lock is not as watertight as you would want. Try tying a brick to it and submerging in a pool for a while and see how it goes.
