  1. First...I think that the coin you produced is very nice and done professionally, I have one myself. Your coin was not discussed fully with THE GROUP nor was it designed by THE GROUP. This coin was yours start to finish(Your personal watermark in the coin). You may have had the "go ahead" from the local caching community, I am not sure.We have contacted all current SCGA committee members and have had nothing but positive response. We welcome all cachers from South Carolina to review the designs at any time, and provide feedback. Your coin's drawback was that it was not trackable nor intended to be, and at eight dollars it should have been. The funny thing is...all you had to do was ask. At the time that you resigned your position on the committee the coin was vaporware. You had to have made enough money off the coin to have tracking, but you chose not to. I don't know your reasons. You have a business,we do not. Most of the people that bought your coins were under the impression that they were trackable, and were somewhat disappointed to see that not to be the case, including myself. I am sorry you feel like we have stepped on your toes, but mistakes were made before the coin went into production. That is something we are going to try and avoid. The problem with South Carolina is nobody communicates with one another, and you even mentioned loose memberships, and seperate groups. We want communication...we want input from all South Carolina cachers. Your coin was done much in the cover of darkness, and for that I feel blindsided. I hope that you can see the need for this coin alongside of yours, and I hope that you will purchase some of ours. Your coin, even though it has had it's fair share of problems will be a treasured part of my collection. I hope you and others will feel the same and support our efforts as well.
  2. Scroll down a page or two...There is another thread that answers this question. I will try and find it and bump it to the top.
  3. You just keep amazing me! Your's and Yime's art skills are fantastic! This has my vote, even though it may not count.
  4. Really!? You're kidding right? Care to explain?
  5. BUMP... EC what is the status on these? I can't wait for them to arrive!
  6. This is a question I would like to know!
  7. I believe with IowaAdmins permission, and with M****soft Power point software, you could change some of the elements in the presentation to meet your needs. BTW nice presentation.
  8. OK I think it is a great idea then!
  9. I love the idea also...But to solve your cache you have to BUY a coin? Never mind question was already answered....I am too slow.
  10. If you are looking for a backup for Google Earth, try USA Photomaps. It has 2 meter resolution and caches to your HD so you only have to download maps once. It also integrates with GSAK.
  11. Up for bid is a very unique, hard to find geocoin. The winner will need to contact us after the auction so we can activate this coin for them. We are the owners of this coin!! I thought these were not to be sold.
  12. Delete saved cookies, saved forms, and cache....close browser....open browser....log in through geocaching.com main page. That worked for me.
  13. As I see it, you did nothing wrong. I am sorry that you feel you owe someone an apology for skewing their vision of caching!
  14. Bump........ Any more details on this coin BBB? Just thought it was worth revisiting.
  15. I thought this whole time it was you!! Honestly, I don't think anyone that has posted in this thread would do that. I think that you have someone in the area that has found one,or stumbled across one and then decided to go online and see where more of these TREASURES are. So YES the person has an account with GC.com,and NO I have no other suggestions to offer. Sorry
  16. Not to insult your intelligence, or disrespect your "freedom of speech rights" that you quote so often, you know what represents a "bad picture"! Please quit stirring the pot!
  17. Travel bug tags come in pairs. If you get no response from the people who picked it up, take the second tag and send it out with a new item(traveler) and edit the TB page. I have had to do this before. Face it, some people take them as trade items, lose them,or just plain forget. IMHO emailing them 1000 times is not going to bring your bug back.
  18. I have found many caches half-buried. I believe that a few of them were fantastic hides. I know of one such hide that was recently archived. I think it had TORCHER in it's name.
  19. I think this LE crap was a pile of STUFF. Gone in three seconds! You can bet someone bought just about the entire lot! The regular coin price per quantity produced is way high. 8.00x1000=8000 someone is making a killing! not to mention the 3.37 for the handling. Am I the only one that noticed 11.37 per coin is outrageous?! Not to mention the store PRE-SELLS for their customer. 9 out of 10 times the coin is not in hand when the order is placed. So I too will be interested to see who sells them on Ebay! Due to poor customer service, not answering emails,VIP crap, and having a @#$@ checkout policy, I will not be doing business with them anymore. I hope the rest of you feel somewhat slighted and do the same. Only then will they pay attention!!!!!!!
  20. WARNING: Hijacking Alert..... On topic: I geocache because it takes me to places I would otherwise never visit. It shows me personal and cultural differences, and gives me much needed exercise!
