  1. Sorry but I don't understand the original question, what is christmas shopping? Bah Humbug!!!
  2. I tried it on my xda 2i and it seemed to work ok but the full postcode add-on wouldn't install properly so went back to TT5.
  3. Theres quite a few just popped up around Sandy, not too far from cambridge.
  4. At the moment I would wish for the time to go caching, I seem to have been far too busy doing boat repairs recently and don't see it changing till next spring. AAARRGGHH!
  5. Stick it in the airing cupboard for a few days (or longer if needed) and it should dry out, I dropped my xda2i in the river earlier this year and it took 3 days before it would show any life at all and had a splat on the screen for a week, I changed the touchscreen as it was scratched anyway and still had the splat but it dried on it's own in the end.
  6. Going by the replies I guess it's crap! Still theres an nmea output so with a serial cradle for the xda I can still use memory map.
  7. As the post says, anyone used the lowrance freedommap mapping for uk? Is it any good? any chance of a screenshot of cambridgeshire area? I've just got a lowrance globalmap 3500 for boat use, I have the nauticpath stuff for uk but it goes crap as soon as you hit inland waterways so was wondering how they compare to os stuff.
  8. Great news Nick, although I'm still considering sueing over that hangover I picked up on the way back from one of your caches, I think you'll find the disclaimer doesn't cover hangovers! A good result methinks.
  9. I'm far from being a legal expert but I think the parents would be seen as responsible for the actions of the child. Lisa Not if you can prove that you are irresponsible, I'd have no problem.
  10. Only if the caterpillar's name happens to be Glen too. It's not a new fangled boot scrubber for geocachers is it?
  11. If you have young children in the team why not register the username to them, I can't see a judge awarding huge damages to injuries obtained while retrieving a cache set by a two year old I only say this as my caches appear to have been set by a two year old (me)
  12. Streetmap.co.uk and MM seem to agree on position.
  13. If you are using Roolku's MM export script there is a modification that links direct with cachemates database rather than seperate html files, I'm sure Moote will be along soon with the code as I've forgotten which bits need cutting out.
  14. This happens every weekend, why should events be any different?
  15. Does it not get logged in when gsak checks the pop mailbox?
  16. It's just having a separate email purely for pq's, you never even have to see it.
  17. It might be that because you entered it originally with the datum wrong it adjusted the coords again when you changed datum, I've had this happen before on a mixed datum cache.
  18. as long as you have coordinates set to d m.m and datum to wgs84 (the datum is where most go wrong) you should be fine.
  19. I think they are all @gmail but due to legal reasons the uk ones get @googlemail given to them.
  20. if you have a googlemail account you can still use user@gmail for the same account.
  21. Meanwhile back on topic.... I queried the place linked with the free samples about price as they're close to me, £8 a roll (only 10m) but have to buy £50 worth and then £12 delivery, sounds a bit quackers to me!
  22. I trust you have found all the variations of the script for html exports, cachemate, url links and the like, it has a few very useful incarnations on top of the original.
  23. Usually when boating I have a lanyard around the leather wallet attached to my belt loop which has saved it many a time but this particular day we fell across a riverside pub with a good band on in the afternoon so stopped for a beer or two(read as seven), by the time we got to the planned overnight mooring(another pub) we may have been a little intoxicated and didn't use the lanyard when going to the pub, it was leaning down to open the canopy when the 'sploosh' was heard. I just can't see why boaters are assumed pi**ed until proven otherwise I guess if it survived once it'll survive again
  24. Curious bed 4 is(was) near me and was active normally for a good while but got disabled (and I think archived) as a critical notice board to the multi got taken down from an outside wall and put inside a village hall entrance messing up access, I think I was the last to do it and only managed due to an event at the hall that day.
