  1. agg I`ve been messing with live data for 2 days - Got Nothing, Sent a Email to Garmin Support about the issue... Got Nothing.... Glad I know its not me! Major Disappointed, one of the main reasons I upgraded from the 62st... Just got a Email from Garmin Support on the Live Geocaching ""Data request failed, Check connection, and try again. " issue: Here a portion of the email. "The issue that you are experiencing is actually one that we are awareof. We are currently working to resolve this as quickly as possible,I have added you to the open case so that you will be notified when a fix hasbeen implemented. I apologize, I do not have a time frame on the resolution. The only workaroundat this time is to download geocaches using the computer. I thank you for your patience while we work to correct the issue. I am verysorry for any inconvenience this issue has caused you." /EvilTree

  3. Hi All, I have completed 10/10 lab caches and noticed the last 2 I logged had the wrong date, So I deleted them so I could change the date... but found out that cant be done... Now though they still show as completed my count is down by 2 any help getting Geocaching.com to resee these so my count is correct? /Thanks
  4. I may do it this year, we are looking into it...
  5. I have been to #1 and #2 and plan on heading over for #3 - I echo the reply above " the food line was ridiculously long", I did paid for that option I think both years, but ended never using it and going elsewhere to eat, I opted out this year!. Other than that I always have a blast, this is on my short list of must attend yearly events. Hope to see some Lab Caches this year! /EvilTree
  6. Looks like a Open C Advertisement coin.. nothing more
  7. I think being last to find is kind of cool as well
  8. IMHO, for single geocaching accounts (I do understand how it could get logged as a team account) Logging a find on your own cache. Well no, as I didn't find it .... I know where it was cause I put it there Logging a Attended on your own Event, Well yes, I was there and attended the event (My one and only hosted Event) But in the end people will play the way they want and enjoy , I play my way... you play yours
  9. You have one cache logged twice, if you use the tool such as GSAK, this will help you locate which one.
  10. Here ya go International Space Station Geocache http://lmgtfy.com/?q=international+space+station+geocache History of Geocaching http://lmgtfy.com/?q=History+of+geocaching http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geocaching First Travelbug???? -> dont know good question
  11. How did you go about logging them online?? If you used a IPHONE or other Smart phone you may have logged the other caches as a field note rather than a log. Go to http://www.geocachin...fieldnotes.aspx and see if you see the other caches if so you can log them in from there to get your smileys. What is a field note you may ask... "A Field Notes are an easy way to keep track of the caches you found during your cache hunt with out logging them in." http://support.Groun...=kb.page&id=128 Here a thread that explains the difference between a field note and a log http://forums.Ground...howtopic=283782 hope that helps
  12. I think in a nutshell it is the personal experience of the geocachers finding them, you know the old saying "you can please some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time". But IMHO, I think a series that shows that the CO put a lot of thought into the placement and is has a location that has some visual significant works for me, on the other hand a string of LP caches turns me off….
  13. This will correct your find count also
  14. Hello Eviltree, Just have to say I really like your answer to cpt'n mike's "Is there a place to go to print out new logs". A subtle reminder to *all* of us to do a simple search. (I confess to have also asked questions, when the answer was waiting for me through Google search). SlackMac. I cant take credit for finding that web site http://lmgtfy.com , it has been used against me a few times, I think it is a hoot, thought it would be a fun way of providing cpt`n Mike his answer.
  15. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=free+geocaching+logs I know... I couldnt resist.. There is a few places here are some.
  16. I think what he means to the "no cache ref code on it".... Would be the geocache GC # for example here is one of yours.... GC3C4W1 or the name of the cache referenced in the cache or on the log sheet.
  17. If you are using the iPhone to log them in using the official Geocache APP, under the cache itself, there is an option to post a log/field note... just need to scroll down to the bottom Once you log that cache in, They will show up in your lists with a green check mark once you refresh the list., if you use the app and log them as a "field note", (check what is listed under style" when you are logging the cache, they will listed as not found till you log the in officially. You also can hide found caches from the list by going to "Menu... Settings...... my finds" and then selecting exclude to hide them or include if you want to them in your search lists... Hope this helps
  18. Thanks all for the comments.. I decided I am going to re find this cache see if its in a new part of the area i havent seen before, but not log as a find, instead I will write a note instead, I cache for the hunt and for me the exploration of unexplored areas and not really concerned about the numbers game, although I do go on FTF runs to change things up once in awhile... Not a offical game but between the local cachers in my area its a fun side activity.
  19. sorry about the confusion didnt mean to say archived it was temp disabled...
  20. Lets no go down the cheating path (not a discussion here) ... Just keep with the would you log it, put a note or not even bother re=finding it theme...
  21. This one has a new Distance from the original GZ of 944.9 feet . The reason I noticed it was that it was archived disabled for a long time and just came back to life...
