  1. Any on another note, who here on this forum has the ability to make decisions for GeoCaching.com and/or Groundspeak?
  2. Felt the need to drag your pet topic into this one? See you just proved my point.
  3. Can't we all get along? I just want the headers to be sortable.
  4. And while we are on this subject. I want to see more than 20 GC on the search results page at once. Seems like that could be made an account setting option..show 50 and 100 per page. Maybe have that an option for preminum members to change.
  5. You would think that if the paid memberships are up, that they would start allowing for more detailed seach options for the website data. It seems like the more people get into geocaching that more want to manipulate the data and when suggestions are bought up, people are always negative about it.
  6. Are you saying the Geocaching.com Support Membership is up also? Or just saying the Geocaching.com has more Non-Support Memberships/Activity?
  7. If I could use GSAK I would, but I use a Mac.
  8. I use the Garmin Oregon 300 and after I log my finds on geocaching. I always end up showing them again on my next upload. I end up having to delete them and they finally do not update again.
  9. Uhm yah...my Oregon has the ability to share information about GeoCaches wirelessly. So that doesn't seem legit in regards to Oregon selling a product that encourages it.
  10. I'm not a "windows" person either. So using GSAK is not an option for me. I am a preminum member though. And I'd like to think that it wouldn't be that hard to do what the OP suggested.
  11. I do not use GSAK. Was hoping I could just do this from the geocaching website alone. But just a thought, if someone who uses GSAK makes me a gpx file, I could use it on my Garmin correct?
  12. Yah it just seems we have quite a few caches in the area that have not been found in quite some time so was looking to go out and find them. I'm not really looking for FTF caches...because in my area that has become quite fierce with people doing the caches within minutes of posting. I'd much rather try for the ones that have not been found in quite some time.
  13. Is there a Query Option that I am missing that would allow me to query local caches that have not been found in over two years...or any time frame? I'm a paying member...but I'm not seeing that as an option?
  14. That was my goal, but it's in Zulo time, so i have to subject five hours from the time.
  15. Setup > About = Software Version 3.20 GPS Software Version: 3.70
  16. Hmmm. http://garminoregon.wikispaces.com/Geocaching#toc15 GC13.) Does the Garmin Oregon timestamp my finds? Can I get the timestamp to show up in my logs when I use fieldnotes? Yes, the file that is uploaded from the Oregon called geocache_visits.txt has a complete date and timestamp for when you marked the cache. There is a Colorado FieldNotes Import GSAK macro which converts the timestamp data so that the timestamp will show up in your GSAK logs. There currently isn't a way to automatically get the timestamp into your log at geocaching.com. If the above is what you are referring to, yes the Oregon 300 time stamps the information, but does not contain that information in the field note itself that is uploaded to the GC website. It's a two part question, they are saying "yes" to the first part. The second part is misleading. If someone can help me figure out how to automatically have the time stamp show on the field notes, I'm open for suggestions. I'm on Mac OS X.
  17. But it seems I have logged quite a few DNF over the past week. Surely the coords cant be off on all of them?
  18. Also on the garmin website for support. There's not even an option for Oregon 300. Strange?
  19. Thanks. So that means I would take the geocache_visits.txt time and subject five hours...and that would give me 15:40, which is 3:40 PM.
  20. Ok I'm having a problem with signal I guess. For instance in geocaching mode it will show me at 0 ft....ground zero...but I'll be in the middle of a field. Any ideas?
  21. I read the Wiki page for the Garmin Oregon 300 and saw that it has no option for time stamping field notes with the time you find or didn't find the geocache. But in actually viewing the geocache_visits.txt file I see that it does display a time setting in the text. My thought was I would edit my field note text to show the time stamp, then upload to the geocaching website. Well today at 3:40pm Central time I made a DNF field note. Came home and was going to edit the field note for that visit. It's showing the time as 20:40 in the geocache_visits.txt file and which would be 8:40. Why is it not showing the correct time as 15:40? Yes I have my Setup > Time as Central. When I googled this problem I could only find what a great "time" I will have my with Garmin.
  22. I had to uninstall Flip for Mac, and it worked after that. I googled the information and read about the fix. Can't remember what website it was though.
  23. Dang you are good! Even though that option says only shows 15 logs, it showed more for me. Thanks! And yes I put them on my watch list, but apparently I have too many watch list emails coming in for me to keep up.
  24. Is there a way to run a query for caches I marked as DNF that are older than 30 days? I have a problem with people finding the cache after I marked it as DNF. Makes me want to go back and look for it. I use Mac OS X, Safari 4.0.2 Browser and Garmin Oregon 300.
