  1. It’s The Gecko’s for me..... Thanks Dave will get you back sometime . Andy
  2. For me its not what’s in the cache more where it is. Caching for me is finding places you would never go to if it were not for the cache, that’s the prize. I never take anything from a cache and also don’t leave anything ( only a calling card but we won’t start that one). I do however make sure my caches are well stocked. If I see comments that one of my caches is getting low then I top it up and remove the tat mind you I only have 3 caches so maintenance is not a problem. Andy
  3. Well done Now for the next 100 Andy
  4. Just checked my area (Horley) it also has new maps….. looks good Andy

  6. Number 4 is me taken by Dave of The Gecko's when I was not looking
  7. Can recommend the Kennet & Avon Canal series excellent day out and a good mixture of different cache boxes and cache types. Andy
  8. I had all the lunch boxes hidden as I walked into the canteen However we now have two new cachers so even taking the p*** some are interested. Andy
  9. Congratulations to The Gecko’s who reached 200 at the weekend while doing CC18 Waun Pen-y-garn. Well done both of you Andy
  10. While filling out the log a couple went passed with GPS in hand they completely ignored me and started looking for the cache. Just as well am not a muggle
  11. We seem to have an easy time around Horley. Total 81 and 8.3 miles with only one multi. Andy
  12. I’ve managed to bump into fellow cachers on two occasions once in Rome when I was failing to find the Roman Forum cache ( he didn’t find it either) and the other while doing one of the M1 drive by series. Wish it happened more often. Andy
  13. Congratulations on reaching 200 Andy
  14. Totally agree there have been some caches in the SE that have had poor coordinates and not very interesting. If you were required to do a number of caches before placing you would gain the experience on how to place, it would also ensure that the people who place caches have tried the sport and are in it for the long term. Andy
  15. You can also put <p> before the text this forces a new paragraph Andy
  16. The first cache I did was Majorcas Best View which was 791 miles from home. The furthest was Baker's Tomb which is 878 miles. I do keep a log of my miles traveled via a personal travel bug and to date have clocked up 3807 miles between caches. Hope to add another 150 miles tomorrow. Andy
  17. Being relatively new to Geocaching I have not posted on the forum but have been watching recent events. I am extremely sorry that L&E have made this decision however I can understand why they have done it. We have lost two very dedicated approvers / moderators who have given up countless hours so we could enjoy our sport and it will be ours and Geocaching loss. L&E I would like to thank both of you for all the hard work you have put in and if your ever down Horley way let us know we can have a REAL beer. All the best Andy
  18. Try this one only a mile from the airport Gatwick Bug Hotel MK 2 (West Sussex)
