  1. No idea what you're talking about with all the technology but we're up for a chat, just give us step by step instructions and we'll be there.
  2. I was off work ill for a few months, all puzzle caches in our area have been solved by this team (including one in the eye) - daytime TV is diabolical! Not all have been visited to confirm we have them right!
  3. For us its location. Going to areas we didn't know about. Some caches can end up with you just thinking "why am I here?". A nice view, local history etc are all good.
  4. Thats terrible. I can't believe that any cacher would stoop so low. As you say, they're not that expensive.
  5. Maybe they found it just before you removed the cache? Or on a different day and forgot to change the date? Email them and ask them what day they found it and roughly what time.
  6. OMG! When you click the YJTB or the WJTB it works!!! Thanks TPTB!!!! why can't I find this??? Can someone tell me exactly where to look??? Me too!
  7. Use the pocket queries (PQ). Get that to send you GPX files - I get mine in zip format. Download GSAK which is free without registration reminders for 21 days and it is quite cheap to register if you then chose to. Import the file that you got from the PQ into GSAK (you can let GSAK import the zip file so you don't have to mess around). Apply any filters you wish to apply (not nessary if you want everything that you downloaded). Then go to File/Export/Memory Map. This saves the file as a CSV file. In Memory Map goto Overlay/Import and chose the CSV file you just created. Hey presto you have all your points on the map. You can personalised GSAK and Memory Map but I couldn't tell you how I managed that, a lot of reading the help in GSAK. I've got the geocaching icons, I'll have a root around and see if I can find the thread that I downloaded them from. Found the icons (in this thread).
  8. Go through the Quick View part of your profile page Humm.... All our TB finds are listed together on that page. We've got white jeeps, US geocoins and normal bugs all listed together, not seperately.
  9. I wouldn't know what a flush bracket was. I would know what trig point was though
  10. Thats who popped into my mind when I saw the piccy
  11. I had not see that thats so much better than the old way Wheres that? Can't find anything like that. Like the logs being included on my list. Was that there before? I don't think so.
  12. Thanks for the alphabetical listing, its a great help. Our TB will go in the post this weekend. Should get to you in time.
  13. I don't think you're a bear with a sore head. I would think that they went on holiday, did some caches and visited this location not realising it was an Earth Cache. They got home and realised that it was a cache and therefore tried to log it. You have clearly stated the requirements to log this cache and given people 2 different ways to do so, I would have thought that its not that hard to do one or the other. If you don't stick to your rules for the cache then anyone could log it, they could just stick up a picture they took on holiday 5 years ago or worse still, one they got off the internet.
  14. These notifications are great. Pity the cache I went to FTF wasn't there
  15. Well worth every penny - don't have to mess around getting waypoints into GPS and PQ are great.
  16. See this thread. Things seem to be working. If you end up on a page with guk2 in the address try replacing it with geocacheuk. Its worked for the few things I tried.
  17. Watch a space, maybe watch us (towards the end of the summer) . Your wish may be our command, but a UK geocoin not a US geocoin. You'll have to work hard to get it though.
  18. But we weren't trying to do an automatic thing, we haven't got a clue how to even attempt such a thing . We just wanted a table with some hyperlinks in to cache pages. You are allowed to do that. We were going to manually update the table if it needed it.
  19. I wonder why you want to do this Because we've got a TB in the premiership race and I wanted to put the table of all the caches it has to visit on the TB page so users don't have to go and look through all the pages on the race page. The race page is very good but you have to go to each "ground" individually to see what caches are scoring caches and I found it a bit cumbersome and I'm interested. So I thought that people just moving the TB on would find it easier if it was listed on the TB page. Then I decided that it would be nice for people to click from the list on the TB page straight through to the cache page. Before anyone attacks me (because attacks seem to be the norm at the moment), I think the premiership page is very good . I just wanted to do something a little different for my TB.
  20. Yes, thought of that but we haven't progressed to having our own web pages yet! Think we have some web space with as part of our broadband package but we've not looked into it. But as you say, its not a reason.
  21. Why is it that when you do a TB page you don't have the option to say its in HTML? I worked out that that doesn't matter because if you put HTML in it takes notice of it and it works. BUT heres the problem ... You are only allowed 5000 characters . I'm trying to put a table on my page with 20 rows and embedded tables in one column per row with hyperlinks as well. This comes to well over 5000 characters. Its not like text takes up a lot of memory so whats the reason? Yes Skippy and Pingu really are entering the 21st century now
  22. To prevent the situation poor Alibags found herself in I like the suggestion that was made a few years ago. Store a v.v big battery in the boot of your car that gives off an electric shock of about 2000V if anyone touches it and prey they don't have a pacemaker! On a serious note, comiserations to Alibags. We did the Liverpool beat series at the weekend and were almost constantly worried that we could have met the same fate.
  23. Add this would be one good reason for members only caches (see other thread to explain why we posted this comment).
