The Day Has Arrived At Last - Sort Of!
Skippy and Pingu replied to Lactodorum's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
I didn't read it that way. I think waymarkers can be logged multiple times, can't they? Pointless if they can't. -
Having read through the proposed categories just on the 1st page it is becoming evident that it would be better to have a category: Memorials. Sub-categories: 911 memorials, war memorials, veterans memorials, animal memorials, blue light memorials, road side memorials. Thats just from the 1st page of suggested categories. I'm sure there are many more.

Why keep it US only? The UK has lots of war memorials, normally one in each town or village. They normally have the names of the local people who lost their lives in the world wars. A few do have other wars on them as well. Nowadays they are used by the community to remember all those who have died in all wars.

The Day Has Arrived At Last - Sort Of!

Having given this new website a fair amount of time over the last 24 hours I think that for me its a good move. We're not too keen on virtuals although we have started doing locationless ones and found some of them quite fun. Now we can easily ignore all things we don't care about. As for it becoming a directory of pubs, McDonald locations and WiFi spots - could be useful if you are in an area you don't know and you are hungry or thirsty or you want to check geocaching.com for close by caches . -
Well done

600, 300 & 100 All At The Same 5/5 Cache!

What a way to mark all your achievements well done. -
Give them enough time to respond to emails. Its summer and people maybe on holiday and not checking email. As for naming and shaming - I think we can work it out . Have to say that I don't understand the TB after a couple minutes of reading - maybe they don't either but thats not really any excuss, they could just put it in another cache and get rid.

Read Your Pocket Query Emails.

This is not a good step. I know its temporary but we pay for the PQ service and we shouldn't have to click on it every week. What about when you go for your 2 week summer holiday? You'll have to try to find an internet cafe and log on to ensure your PQ run so they're done for when you get home. Not impressed -
We thought we were going to have to be rescued from the middle of gorse bushes doing Light of Life: Fiat Lux . Certainly cachers are prepared to go to extreme lengths for that ellusive find!

Just seen this. Count us in. Really enjoyed the CITO event you organised. We won't need camping facilities as we live down the road. -
Wouldn't be too impressed with that myself, not much you can do other than send friendly reminders or ask him to put them in the post to you so they can be re-released

According to Kelsborrow Wayfinders one of our caches had a ginger nut in it and also a note telling us it had been dropped off. Very odd!

Sunday Caption Contest

Paul had a sneaky suspicion that the French were planning an invasion...... -
Think I've solved why you've got the icon but if you click on it you get nothing returned. We've got the icon as well, its just appeared. If you click on it it also returns no results but I know what gave us it. We have just retrieved and moved on this coin. Its is a geowoodstock coin but its not picked up when you click on the icon for some reason. I see that rutson and Simply Paul have also moved this coin on.
