I came across a site that was selling the OEM version of a Garmin GPS 18 and was wondering if the version of City Select that it came with would work with my 60cs. They wanted $80 for the package, which is cheaper than what I can get CS on it's own for. Has anyone done this?
Any help would be appreciated!
Just curious to see what you guys think my old GPS would be worth.
It's a Garmin GPS III with the manual, strap, etc. No scratches, works great. What do you think I could get for it? Is $125 realistic?
Thanks!
The same thing happened to me this morning. I lost signal going under an underpass, and when I came out it was still tracking straight instead of making my turn.
odd.
Actually, once I posted the picts, I noticed that too... It must have been some sort of reflection or something, because there is nothng orange there now.
Thanks for everyone's response. I'm still on the fence tho. I'm almost leaning toward the 60c since I'm coming from the GPS III, I wouldn't know what I'm missing with the lack of compass and altimeter.
My trusty 80's era Silva compass has never led me astray.
I'm thinking of upgrading my current Garmin GPS III with one of the new 60c or 60cs models. My question is, would I regret getting the 60c over the 60cs in the long run? I see the value in having the cs, but I don't know if it's worth the extra cash.
The cheapest I've seen the 60c is about: $350 and the cheapest for the 60cs is about: $400. So it's basically a $50 decision.
I'm sure there are others here who have dealt with this same dilemma. Any advice and opinions will be greatly appreciated.
