  1. RE: "I started to laugh but then realized you could be right since i doubt most phone app users ever use them." I find the app more useful because I do have my pocket queries available.
  2. I have not placed a night cache. But, I have logged some. One of which was probably my most memorable caching adventure. I would say what I appreciate most in a night cache is: 1) A lengthy hike. Make it a cache one has to set out to get. 2) Terrain (whether through topography or the thick stuff) 3) Progressively harder to find reflectors (spaced further & further apart.) But, that's me.
  3. I unknowingly placed a cache too near the final for a mystery cache. However, the existing cache had several DNFs and maintenance requests with no activity from the cache owner. Our reviewer messaged the owner and gave them 30 days to correct their cache. After 30 days, the reviewer archived the old one and posted my new one. Maybe this would apply to your situation as well.
  4. If by chance they have an iPhone already, the iPhone [i use the Groundspeak app] & Garmin 60CSX together make an incredible pair. That takes care of the paperless issue and then some.
  5. Congrats on 100!!! We hit 200 this weekend as well. Our 100th was a big deal to us though.
  6. Hmm... Me either. THANKS! I have a garmin for accuracy. But coupled with the iPhone, I have wireless caching with real time info and logging. I love the two together.
  7. Congrats. We hit ours last month. That first 100 is awesome.
  8. For our family, it's getting out together in an ACTIVITY. No TV most weekend days now. We're out & about. For me, it's that competitive drive to get all I can. Be the first to find. And, the ones you have to work to get to. Haven't been at it long at all. But, we're hooked. We're working on our pathtag now.
  9. Whoever "owns" and submits the cache would be the responsible party. However, you can enter anything you want for "Who Placed the Cache." You could list the troop information in that field. MWBEERS
