  1. Just checked that cache page out...really weird. That was unfortunately way before I started caching so I personally have no sort of recollection. That also was also just before the time of the current president (Old Navy, who I double checked with), so who knows it may have existed in some entity. I'll ask around again in the future and let you know if I find out anything more--it is really odd that no one remembers that.
  2. Its all good, just pointing out that theres a lot of cool places nestled in this tiny state than meets the eye. That view/park is actually close to the city and still preserved which is great. Glad to hear you're enjoying the state--I need to do some more exploring of PA, and not just around Easton. I'm sure I'll grab a few of yours when I finally get around to it.
  3. Yup, nothing nice to be seen in that part of Northern New Jersey (West Orange, Eagle Rock Mtn) Besides that thank you for thinking about the power trail again and deciding to not go through with it.
  4. Glad to hear you enjoyed it, always really great to get feedback. This stuff takes some time to put together and it's good to know its useful to at least a few cachers.
  5. There were a few technical issues with the NNJC site, but it recently got a few updates and should be good to go. In my years with the NNJC I've never heard of any forums, perhaps you're thinking about the Central Jersey forums? I'll double check on that though. http://centraljerseygeocaching.net/ edit: Just checked and there were never any NNJC forums, some talk has been made about creating them but its never come to fruition.

  13. I'll be on holiday in North Wales from the States come this July (Llandudno area). Are there any great or marvelous caches in this area/region that I can't miss? Thanks! COTB
  14. If you're using Firefox try the add-on "write area" which will allow you to edit it in a word format, then it'l do all that html for you. Learned that from the forums a little while ago.
  15. Wow I'm liking those BDU pants too, lots of sizes, amazing prices and good selection. Discount sections is scary good.
  16. Took my delorme pn-40 out after the holidays, and decided to transfer some maps. Seems that no matter what I do, when I attempt to connect it to my computer it does not show up as found, even on other computers. Any ideas?
  17. Ganna go with the delorme. For the SDHC memory card, could anyone possibly link an example of that works in the PN-40 from amazon or something..I realize they come in many sizes (physically)
  18. So overall, it seems that there isn't too much a mac user is missing out on, am I correct?
  19. I realize this has been brought up here before, but I just wanted to get somethings straight. What exactly will not work with the PN on the mac. Will the gps itself run? Or is it just the software? also, I ran across this article... http://blog.delorme.com/2008/11/11/geocach...the-mac-and-pc/[/url] does this mean that its possible to run the topo through Safari for example, or not? Thanks a ton
  20. Great..half way through update and it froze. Taking out batteries wont seem to do anything either.
  21. Just went out to get a couple of new batteries, same issue. I'll give the firmware a shot.
  22. A couple of days ago my eTrex died on the trail. I got home, put in a couple of new batteries and powered it up. As it was acquiring the satellites, it seems to just die and automatically shut off. The battery level reads full, however. Anything I can do? Tips? Thanks COTB
  23. I sometimes take this human with me and geeshh are they a bother to cache with on the trail! If it's not answering that phone attached to his body, it is always yelling for me as if I am lost. I'm not the one that needs that handheld thing-a-bod to find my way around in the woods. I find with my human it is normally a better trip if I bring one of those cheap lasers with me to keep his attention "ohh look, a shiny object". Now if I could just get him to smell out those ammo cans and lock-n-locks a little quicker! Please please please DO NOT use laser pointers on any dog. Not only can it damage their eyes, but the game can and will usually transfer to other things such as shadows. Now one can take away a ball, tug or whatever, but light is ever present. Humorous, for some. But dangerous, especially for high energy dogs, yes.
  24. Thanks for the info. Next time I'll post appropriately
