Has anybody been able to use cachemate with a Geode GPS for the handspring visor? I have two visors and two different GPS for them. The geode seems more aurate but the GPS companion is the only one that I have been able to get to work with cachemate. I end up taking and using both units while caching.

I use a Handspring visor Prism with a Magellan GPS companion slid into the springboard slot. I had this setup before I knew about Geocaching. Because of this I have only done paperless caching. Once I was caching and slipped the visor into the pocket of my cargo pants and sat on some rocks when some muggles came around. When they left I saw that the GPS module had come out just enough to confuse the PDA and the visor had reset itself and I had lost all of my cache info. I now carry two visors with me when I cache as well as a backp module to restore. Unfortunately Handspring was bought by Palm and the visors are no longer made. However ther are plenty on Ebay for less than $100 for the color Prisms.

A search on the internet shows up several sites but all of them point to geodiscovery.com .Unfortunately they went out of business and those are dead links. I am hoping somebody out there has an actual CD. Thanks lakedawgs for your reply.

I bought a Geode GPS for the Handspring Visor recently but it did not come with the software. Does anybody have the software? I would also like to find the firmware upgrade to 1.4 . Please let me know if you have thie software.
