  1. For what it's worth I have had good success with the iPhone geocache app. The map and compass have been helpful and most of the time it's me overthinking a cache location and not the phone that gets me stumped on a find. I agree that MotionX is a great app for gathering coordinates and saving kore detailed information about a location.
  2. The cache is listed as a traditional. I guess it is up to you, though I would have no problem deleting logs if became apparent that people were "forgetting a pen" a lot. Is there a pen in the cache for people to use? If so then you KNOW people are cheating.
  3. I wouldn't be as hard up on deleting logs of people who didn't sign a Traditional Cache log but a puzzle cache, I believe, needs proof that your found it. That is part of the fun is seeing those who actually cracked the code and left their mark. Delete away I say.
  4. I think stats can be fun if it's not the only reason to Cache. I like how you can see peoples cache discoveries by state and region. It gives you a window into the travels and offers up opportunities to ask people about specific places to cache if you are visiting someplace on vacation.
  5. Hey all, I'm a newbie with my first Geocoin find. The coin must have been moved from a deactivated cache to a nearby active one and not logged as such as there was no note mentioning it being moved. When given the option to select the location I discovered it I selected the deactivated cache (there was no option to select the actual cache I found it in). Realizing my error I deleted the log and tried to create a new one but the only options I have to select are "Discovered it" and "Write a note". The system already knows I have it so it won't allow me to "Grab it" again. Any ideas? Thanks!
