There was one near here in a lamp post that looked just like that (no cover). The cache was actually placed INSIDE the post. Was active for about a year before it disappeared and got archived.

I own 29 caches, 5 of which I adopted in January. Starting last week sometime, these 5 adopted caches show up on the maps only as found smilies, no matter how far I zoom in. The other 24 do show up as stars, but only if zoomed in. (a lot). ???

Cleared browser cache, history, etc.(3X), Restarted FF, loading from Web10 - no change. Cache page continues to load forever (1+hr.)with no background.("Transfering data from maps.google.com") Finally shut down whole system and restarted everything - all works good now.!! (from Web05) Oh - just FYI still getting the odd mixed up and missing Avatars and pictures, mainly on the forums. Thanks for your time - much appreciated.

I am trying to edit a cache page (GC11N08), and have uploaded an image I need to use for a background. I have uploaded the image, and set it to be the background, it appeared to work normally, the icon (R.I.P.) shows up on the cache page just above the logs. However, the background will not load on the cache page, and when I click on the image icon(R.I.P.), it will not load and eventually times out. ?????

Several cachers in this area received this same (cut & paste) e-mail today from a local prominent cacher. Quote: "Hi Axxxx and Txxxx, Was just going back down memory lane looking at some old caches that I have done before the Favorites points came out and rewarding them a point. Looking at my “Mxxxx and Mxxxxxx” Night cache I see you seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. Thanx again for the kind words and I am glad you did have fun. Just one quick request though if you have some favorite points to spare and feel that my cache was worthy of one could you do me the favor of uping my Night Cache's favorite count. Thanx again, I will have more caches of this nature coming soon. Cxxxx (xxxxxxxxyy)" This same person has also been known to send emails along the lines of "How come you haven't done my "xxxxxxx" cache." I personally find these very annoying and in poor taste. (trying to be polite here) I will not be replying to any of these and will definitely not be giving out any points here. What are your thoughts when or if you receive something like this.? Am I over-reacting to this.? Is it common for this to be done in your area.?

Looks like Geochecker.com is back up and running again. Hope he's found a permanent solution to his problems this time.

What is it.??? It's like a giant bison tube. About the size of 6-8oz can of V8. Looks very interesting. Where does one get them.

Just to throw you another idea - this is an example of what I usually use. http://img.geocaching.com/cache/large/2e44d6cd-5ac7-4578-be14-51169a7163e5.jpg The background image is taken near the cache. I print then out Business Card size on photo paper. They seem to go over quite well and also they will fit into smaller caches.

Sorry - same problem, different location. Although I'm not seeing any place on the "View Geocache Log" page where there is any mention of Favorite Points. I just tried to give a favorite to GC3ARWX from the Cache Page and it reverted back again after a reload.

Javascript is enabled. No problems with anything else other than the well known elusive graphics loading bug. Will be updating in the near future - will try again then. Thanks for your time.

- Cache page - http://coord.info/GC38AHF - Click on "Add to your Favorites". - Cache Points increment by 1. (to 6) - "Favorite Points Remaining" decreases by 1. (to 29) - Reload cache page and both totals revert back to original values. (5 & 30) - Cache is not added to my List of Favorites, even before page reload. - ???? - Have cleared browser cache, restarted computer, makes no difference. - Haven't tried to use this feature for quite a while, but it used to work fine. - XP Pro, FF 3.0.10, no add-ons or scripts.

Yes, several times. Have also restarted computer and FF several times. Didn't make any difference.

On any cache page, cliking on the Yellow "Favorites" button drops down a 3 line info box. Since the last update (Dec.6), the top line - (% who favorited this cache) - never loads. All I see is the little ring going round and round - I have let it run for over 3 hrs. This is always true on all caches I look at, my own or others, no matter how many points are listed. The other 2 lines show and work normally. XP Pro, FF 3.0.10

Like this idea. Would probably work just to add another "Total" (found,trackables,etc.) on your Profile page. .

It's in the "Community" menu at the top of each page. I agree that the present layout, with so many events listed, is very difficult to use. They need to be at the very least, filtered by country. Then you could also have a "normal" looking calendar with each date clickable to show the events for that day.

We still have access to the ideas that were posted there, but there will be no further maintenance of that site. The vast majority of ideas posted there that received a reasonable number of votes have already been moved into our internal database, which is where we base all of our planning. Thanks for the reply. So I would assume that we have no way of making any further comments on those ideas unless someone posts a similar "feature" on the Forum? e.g. (27747)
