  1. Didn't work for me either, and it was a .png file stolen from another cache page (with permission). Renamed it .jpg and it worked
  2. I agree this is a needed feature. It's strange I don't get email notifications for adventure labs.
  3. Quite a few cachers actually really enjoy doing geo art series. This spreadsheet can help anyone else interested in taking on the daunting task of creating it.
  4. Thanks for the tips, I updated the formulas as you said on coords tab. I also added conditional formatting to the main tab.
  5. Hey fellow cachers, I figured you might like this. http://nuttyguy.com/geo/geoart.xlsx Over the last few months I have been working (with a team, Wazzu Cachers) on a new geoart series in the Eastern WA area that forms the shape of a local university's logo. I created a simple excel spreadsheet where you type the number 1 into a cell in the pattern you want and it spits out the coords. It was a tedious highly un-automated process at first but with a lil help from my brother we made it more automated and simple. Here is the spreadsheet, take a look at it, tell me what you think, ask questions, or improve it and re post it. Here's a link to #1 of the geoart I mentioned. The first 10 (out of 50) were published this morning: http://coord.info/GC3VQ1C
  6. Just a reminder, there is only about 2 1/2 weeks left.
  7. This entire trail will be archived on July 9th 2012 (Monday after 4th of July) to make room for something mind-blowingly better. If you have not done the trail yet, or know somebody who hasn't, the time is ticking away. Stayed tuned to BCTS #01 (http://coord.info/GC2KFKE) for more announcements.
  8. Become a premium member. If you already are and want more stats, you'll need to put your "my finds pocket query" into a program called gsak. There are a few guides if you search google.
  9. Just noticed 2 people marked one of my challenges as completed, but I never got an email. Is this a feature or a bug, or am I just missing something?
  10. Original Stash Tribute Plaque (and the unoriginal) are already on the to-do list. We have already visited Groundspeak HQ and were planning on the ape cache, but it doesn't appear anything will be done with it by the time we'll be there (first week of August).
  11. Gonna be taking a trip in a few weeks. Driving from Pullman to Portland following the Columbia, spending a few days along the Oregon coast and then heading north to Seattle and back home to Pullman a few days later. What are some of your favorite caches along this route? They must be stroller accessible (somewhat).
  12. When I submitted it and the other traditional along the creek I knew they would be hit just a few times a year. Didn't think the FTF hunters would slow down any though... They get pretty vicious up here.
  13. Went on a nice canoe trip for memorial day and floated by Washington States only natural rock arch. Of coarse, I had to publish it as an earthcache. It's been almost a month and still no logs. Who's gonna be first? http://coord.info/GC2X9GC
  14. I had a few great responses (thanks!) and no longer need testers. For those of you interested in it still, the puzzle is here: http://coord.info/GC2XVTN , but I have to go drop an ammo can out for the final and enable the listing before it can be reviewed.
  15. I need a non-local cacher to test a puzzle and make sure it all works and is possible. It won't take any random googling, just finding some easily available information. If your interested, leave a comment and I'll message you the puzzle.
  16. I'm looking to buy a custom stamp to sign logs and maybe hide a couple more letter boxes. What is a good site to buy from?
  17. That's your problem right there. Once the PQ is setup (and you've previewed it to make sure it grabbed caches), you then need to tell it to run (you'll see the option in the PQ options). You'll have to wait for it to run and then a GPX file with all the caches will be available to download. None of this is in the "preview query" area.
  18. The trail does cross some driveways and roads occasionally, not very often though. You might be able to get 5 with a small amount of walking and skipping through the caches not near roads/driveways. I'd really recommended a bicycle for anyone doing this trail (probably wouldn't work in your case though). The trail has almost no elevation change and is paved the entire way. Maybe an electric wheel chair?
  19. The Bill Chipman Trail Series published last week. It consists of 56 new caches along a trail of about 7 miles where no motorized vehicles are allowed. It stretches from Pullman, WA to Moscow, ID. A few have completed it already. Check out the cache page on the first cache to see more information and stay updated. GC2KFKE
  20. Quad Cities Geocachers Facebook Group A group where cachers in the Quad Cities (Moscow ID, Pullman WA, Lewiston ID, Clarkston WA, and surrounding areas) share stories, post pictures, and make plans for great geocaching trips. Curently 78 members and growing.
  21. Anybody have any luck adding caches to the Magellan Maestro 3250? It says it allows custom POI's, but I have yet to figure out how to do it. I have a Garmin Oregon which I use mainly, but I'd love to be able to navigate on the road to caches using the Maestro (especially with the cache machine coming up). Thanks in advance.
  22. Still gonna head out here in a few, rain won't slow me down. It just wont be as fun as a nice sunny day like yesterday. Oh, and South-Eastern WA doesn't even come close to Western WA in rainfall.
