I feel the same way Discombob. These locationless ones...aaaish (Says I who has shamelessly logged 6 on one day ). As for chasing him away down to Cape Town...mmm. We need him up here to place new caches for the rest of us to find .

Where are all the cachers who promised to place lotsa caches? Please help my friend GlobalRat, as he has now resorted to logging Locationless caches, just because there are not a great many caches in GP left for him to do. I promised him there will be a new Brick cache next weekend, but he still sobbed uncontrollably. We need new caches people. Quickly. I cannot stand seeing GlobalRat in this state. And his twitching is really getting bad now… (Tounge firmly in cheek)

I don't know what huge monitor and resolution you use, but for us mere office bound mortals, your homepage title does not fit onto my 1024x768 screen.

I just went to the GSAK site and if you click on Register, it takes you to the PayPal screen, but now with the option of paying by creditcard too! But alas : Seems you still cant do it....grrrrrr. Sorry to get your hopes up....

I have to agree with the amazement comment. I think you should come home, then I'll pour you a very tall, very cold Castle and we can discuss all this, because THESE posts are going nowhere other than to infuriate. Point is I only read the sentence "If you and Globalrat are so bent against it why do you have a site dedicated to a travelbug race? " up to there and got upset....my mistake, but that is what percolated coffee in huge doses do to me. I think you should quietly go ahead with the guidlines (note, I did not use RULES now...). I think from a newbees perspective, that is what they need.

Just like your first reply. A very angry one at that! (I say, tongue firmly in cheek) I still believe www.geocaching.com is sufficient for finding out about rules and regulations. And after that, common sense prevails. I've seen caches here in SA that have warnings on them about watching out for snakes and nasties, so local conditions require local savvy, and none of these cachers needed a rulebook. But like it has been said, nothing prevents you from setting up, yet another, site. IMHO, and in GlobalRat's defence, his site has been set up primarily for the GP Challenge, and the site grew from there.

Well as far as signature items goes, mine's gotta be a Lego Toy. GlobalRat's still trying to find one though

Have to say I'm with Azaruk on this one. Meeting my fellow cachers on a friendly basis over a pint is much more fun than at a formal meeting....

A very good idea. For starters, I think the relevant cachers should start by placing CACHES at all these places, so the bug has got somewhere to go, at least.

Humbly, I must admit that the Getaway letter by Brian Cheyne is none other than me. I wrote the letter a while back already, but when I sent it to GlobalRat, he suggested I send it to Getaway. And there you go !! PS..I got to read the letter only now, and the thing is a nothing like the original....no cahe in this country ever contained RUGBY TICKETS!!! grrrrrr
