1. I saw a picture of a TB hotel some time ago in the forum.I believe the cache was close to a airport? It was a grey locking mailbox, and inside there were several plastic containers which were all labeled with different TB Goals. can anyone point me to the picture or even the GC number of the cache itself? THANKS
2. Great advice everyone. Right now I'm waiting to hear back from WA DOT for permission to place a locking mailbox type cache. Where it would be hidden in plane site and have a combo which would be displayed on the cache page. Then when you open it, you'd find a few different containers all labeled with destinations like "Travel the World", 'Go East", "Go West", etc. Where then you would place the TB in the direction it needs to go, and future visitors will be able to easily identify a TB that needs to go on their route. I figure muggles would not tamper with it as it will look official and it will be locked to people who don't get the combo from the cache page. This is what I WANT do, if permission is not given then there goes that ideas all together and I'll most likely just abonden the effort.
3. Can anyone give some ideas or suggestions on good ways to hide a large size cache in a well visited area. I want to hide a TB Hotel at a local park and ride as it's the perfect intersection for traveling TB. There's not much around though.I'd like to use the utility boxes that are level with the ground and then hide the cache inside. I've seen one like this before, but the problem is you have to dig a hole to place the box in. Any way around that? Also, want it to be cheep and easy. A lockable mailbox would work but again, not as cheep as I want or easy. I'd like suggestions and would LOVE pictures. Thanks.
4. Barbie Beach aka rodeo hole in cashmere, home of Twiggy and Barbie beach caches.. I was just thinking how bad that place needs a cito event.
5. Hey all, I wanted to worn everyone around this area, particularly Cashmere and possibly Wenatchee. It appears my Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx has been stolen from my car. I hope I'm over reacting. But along with the missing items are also a geocaching logo pin that was pinned to my pack. I opened the pocket the pin had been on to see if the back was still inside, it was not. If it had fallen off I would expect the back to still be inside the enclosed pocket. My unit is blue, it had my phone number on the start up page. I guess it went missing between 12/19 - 12/23 2009. I am only now posting this because I just noticed the pin missing as well. I have not done a REAL thorough search as I have been very sick with morning sickness. I'm deeply saddened by this, I don't know if I can afford a new unit anytime soon. I just can't fathom a fellow cacher doing such a thing, I only assume its a cacher since my caching pin was taken. Again, I do hope I'm just loosing my mind and both items show up soon. Please spread the word, and if anyone you cache with shows up with a new unit matching the above description could you casually check to see if there's a phone number on the start up page that some what matches 509-393-3*14. Thanks, happy caching.
6.
Here's mine, http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=2448974

Current GOAL: To travel to all 50 states collecting 'state spoons', if possible. Then once all states are marked off, travel back to Cashmere, WA.. The state spoons can usually be found in any highway gas station or souvenir shop. I think they run 5-7 bucks. If you do attach a spoon, remember the old TB saying, "If you want your TB to survive, drill a hole through it." So if you could drill a hole in the spoon part to ensure other people don't take it off for their own collection, but also to allow it to be attached to the TB, that would be great! I also appreciate any maintenance that anyone does to my TB. Also, please only place this bug in well visited caches, none that are way up in the mountains where nobody goes.

About this item: Spoon This TB is a Aplets and Cotlets, Cashmere, WA. spoon with Mission statement and State check off attached. It's hoping to aquire more state spoons along it's travels. It is OK to add a spoon of the same state but different town/ city. Please post pix of new spoons added. When it reaches a new state, please check off the state with a permanent marker on it's attached tag.

7. I came across a cache container where the lid was completely smashed in. All I had with me to help fix the cache was a grocery sack. I placed the cache in the sack and tied it shut. I did this only for maintenance purposes as previous logs had stated that the next finder should try to help if possible. I then contacted the owner with a maintenance needed log. I would think in a situation like this it would be OK? Other then that, I'm not sure on proper etiquette.
8. I never looked at it like that before!!! I love it!!!
9. Again, sorry if this is already a thread, I just can't seem to navigate these forums. Anyway... When you have logged a DNF, then at a later date you Find it. Are we supposed to Change that DNF log to a Found, or make a different log to show the Find? If you looked for a particular cache say 8 times (which I've done) , do you log a DNF for each time? I got to thinking about this today as I was trying to clean up some of my DNF's. I notice that in a lot of cases, there is only 1 DNF logg, mine. And they were really quite hard for me to find. I got to thinking, am I the only one unable to find this thing. Then I though, well maybe everyone else changes their log when they find it. What do you all do? Is there an actual rule so to speak about this topic? Love to hear from ya!!!!
10.

Thank you soooo much. Your idea worked perfectly. It's super easy!!!
11. So this may be a stupid question, I don't know. I have about 6 of my own caches now. If you were to go to their description page, they would all look pretty plain. I have learned how to add pictures in, so that's better. But I go to some cache pages and they have all this fancy writing, even text that moves. For some reason, when I enter in my long description, it won't let me indent or start a new paragraph. Everything just runs together. So specifically, how do I... -Make it indent -Show a new paragraph -Type in bold -add in puzzle boxes -etc. Here is one of my caches in which I'm referring to... GC1YT9G Notice how it's all slammed together and plain. Any info that would help would be great. I have looked and looked through the forums to a related topic without luck. It seems I have trouble with the forum search engine as well (have to be over 5 characters long?).
12. I have a TB out, "Spoons' is its name. It's a state spoon with a goal to travel to all 50 states and to 'collect' other state spoons if possible. Then once it's reached them all, to come back home to me. Maybe it's a good idea to indicate on the description of your TB if you would appreciate any maintenance done to your TB and whether or not it's OK to attach name cards to them. Just a thought.
13. The tracks are considered swag, correct? And the only way to get swag out of a cache is to trade up or even with it, correct? Who's the person who decides the worth of all the different swag? Each person is in charge of deciding right? So Christians, (only using them (us) as an example) believe that the greatest gift EVER is the gift of Jesus Christ and what He did for us on the cross. Dying for our sins so that we can have salvation. We believe there is nothing worth more then this. We don't tell people about Christ because we have to in order to be worthy of Christs gift (for which we're not), we do it because we care. Because we too wish that no one should perish. We do it out of love. Believe it or not, many people have come to know the Lord and to accept His gift by reading those small peaces of paper. One persons trash is another persons treasure, right? If there is a item of swag that you don't deam worth anything, think twice before removing it, it may be worth a lot more to someone else. I myself also don't care for golf balls, but I don't get rid of them because I don't like them, I know eventually another person will come along who will appreciate it. I am a Christian, and it's part of who I am. MY beliefs come out in my every day life, they help guide me and influence me. I don't want to give up who I am to take part in this game of geocaching. Would it not be a similar debate about someone who is a vegetarian because of their beliefs in how it's wrong to hurt animals. What do they think when they come to a cache full of fishing gear? That would go against their beliefs right? How would you all feel if you found out they were trashing all those lures and hand tied flys? That stuff is pretty valuable swag to some of you I bet (myself included). Just because some of you wish to deny Christ, don't deny someone elses chances of knowing Him. I myself leave it up to the cache Owner to clean and maintain their own cache. If they feel a particular item is trash then that's their right as the owner to through it out. Also, FYI I don't leave tracks in caches and I never have. I haven't ment to offend anyone here, just give you a little insite as what some Christians may be thinking when they leave those little pieces of paper. Hope all is well with you all, God Bless and Happy Caching:O)
14. I own a cache and want to have a picture on the details page of it. So when you click on my cache to look at the information, a picture of the area will show up. I've looked through many threads and discussions trying to find out if there has been a similar question before, but I couldn't find it and there was just too may post to sort through. So, can anyone give me good instructions on how to do this? Thanks for your help.
