What is the difference between the full DVD and the upgrade? If you have a the previous 2008 version, won't you end up with the same data?

My purpose in writing my first post here is not to complain or nag, but to inform and ask what others have seen with regard to the USB transfer speeds of the Garmin Colorado 300 (having purchased a new Patriot 16Gb SDHC card which seems to work fine). I did some speed tests using HD tach and found the following write speeds: 1. Garmin flash write speed = 0.8 Mb/s 2. Garmin SD write speed = 0.7 Mb/s For comparison: 3. 30 Gb Video Ipod = 18.1 Mb/s 4. 2 Gb Patriot Xporter USB flash drive = 30.9 Mb/s 5. 250 Gb Nexstar 3 2.5" portable hard drive = 36.2 Mb/s It's clear (at least on my computer and usb port) that the colorado is super slow. Garmin specs do not indicate USB transfer speed or protocol, but these are serial port speeds. While I won't be giving the colorado any blanket parties, I am a bit disappointed.
