  1. I have a problem. My forum signature will not delete. How does one change/remove/modify a forum signature? NOT http://www.geocaching.com/account/default.aspx REVIEW FORUM SIGNATURE- (ITS BLANK)
  2. Holmstead: I fully agree: " I seriously doubt somebody would place " I think the cache owner would want to protect his/her own cache from altruistic dogooder and take measures to safeguard the cache that was placed properly. John Galt, is a hero! and so are all our military vets. Thanks for you service.
  3. I didn't have my unit with me, going by satellite image and knowledge of the site, and stopped a cop as he was looking me over. Told him what I was doing and point me to the cache only to find it had been muggled. Ponce Inlet Tour - Lighthouse Harbor
  4. Maybe you can contact CO for info: GCT3BP A Few Good Books A Kirkwood Highway Library Geocache GC3HX55
  5. Cuddlefish.. I don't get your comments...hospitals are public, not unlike parks etc. Do hospitals in Canada have bears and homeless people in them
  6. Near my GZ we have a cache as a discarded flashlight. I bring to you attention a safety issue: Flashlight bombs puzzle Phoenix authorities By AMANDA LEE MYERS Associated Press AP Photo AP Photo/Matt York US Video Buy AP Photo Reprints PHOENIX (AP) -- Flick the switch on these flashlights and they don't light up. They blow up. Three of these bombs have exploded within the last month in the Phoenix area, causing minor injuries to five people and raising fears of more serious ones. Police still have no idea who is behind them and have taken the unusual step of putting up 22 billboards across the sprawling metro area to warn residents about discarded flashlights. I wonder how or if the GC community can disable any caches in AZ until this is solved. I'm sure some ADMIN will know which forum to post this.
  7. Thx. May your next travel bug go far.
  8. HI, I do find caches, but cannot find the location in the forum or my profile to update/change my signature.
  9. Is there a magic setting to change the the 60CSX to list by geocache text name, Here's to You, Mike Ott! versus the code " GC3JYE4 " Do the 60CSX ever transfer hints? (o.k. i admit I use hints when caching) I just got this on ebay and wonder if I need to buy GARMIN maps or find some other map to put on the unit. Excited to own a 60 next time I may buy new.
  10. Hi, Just picked up a used 60csx. On the map page on the unit, caches are listed by GC # not by cache name. Is there a 'fix' out there to make the cache name appear on the map rather than GC #. Is there another 'fix' to put hints onto the unit from Geocaching Groundspeak website? I'm accustomed to seeing the cache name which is a lot more user friendly. Thanks.
  11. I'm sending a Magellen to corporate today- maybe the president of Magellan can use it as a book end. I'm looking for opinions for 48 hours- Do I buy a smartphone droid with a geoapp or a handheld traditional GPS unit? Is the purchase all about the chip? Does a smartphone not work as well in the woods?
  12. Sleepy your right... the 300 would just be a brick in shipping. Good luck.
  13. DO YOU PLAN TO COVER THE BOX WITH TWIGS OR LEAVES? great idea, I hope you get the maintenance plan worked out.
  14. When in doubt, put on a hard hat and a safety jacket. The best way to hide something is in full view. Private property is private unless you are the Federal Government who seizes as it wills. Private is private at least for the moment. To hide a cache w/o permission on private property is in bad taste and puts fellow gamers (cachers) in a compromising position esp if the posting of private property is not obvious.
  15. DAVID, I'm back in the game thanks to your help, posting, links and updates. Like the master hoped, "There is no greater service is to lay down one's life for another". You gave time to others, thanks and Merry Christmas. Goto to http://www.tritonforum.com and we can help you get it fixed, and yes, there is a bootable firmware update that can be used, however, there is an easier way... David
  16. Had a T400 for 1 1/2 years- not a good unit. Has a FATAL internal error. Does anyone know if 1) A bootable SD card has repair software? 2) If I open the unit, is there a magic reset button?
  17. [Link removed by moderator] need i say more?
  18. Where a reflective vest and safety glasses with hard hat on urban caches. A flashlight helps. We asked what I'm doing, I make up a story about Satellite config's for a project in discussing at the County Zoning board.
