  1. Yes! Great idea! Looking forward to it. I'm already acquiring data about a few in my neighborhood.
  2. oh yea there's always the fast food playgrounds too he he.
  3. hmm. I think most public playgrounds are generally made of various material these days. Of course there's a difference in how old the park is. For example you might find some older playgrounds with one of those steel rocket ships or a modern one with a compsite foam covered whale. Public and private(pay) sound like good variables. There are elementary school playgrounds as well that are generally not open to the public (except for students in that school of course.) Can't think of anything else.
  4. I agree. Actually I was going to start a website dedicated to such a category until someone turned me onto Waymarking.com. I am always using my car GPS to find new children's playgrounds wherever we go. Using the car GPS sometimes we are delighted once we see the park and sometimes its a burn. Having this category would enable people to post them and before long we would a have a searchable index and perhaps see pictures of the equipment before actually going there. edenite
  5. quote:Originally posted by Jeremy:Let me know if there are any more missing tags. Thanks! Jeremy Irish Groundspeak - The Language of Location This is Jeremy's last post on the subject. There have been 42 posts since then letting him know. (count them) Since management has ceased to acknowledge there is a problem, What are we going to do about it? It is a fun sport yet this site has reached a level of inconsistency that is causing the sport to become a chore, therefore taking all the fun out of geocaching. Personally, I feel that I want to just cancel my free account and go collect my ammo can. Put it all behind me. But I remember all the happy people having so much fun on my geocache and I don't dare to remove it. there are many future finders out there. They deserve to experience the way it was designed. So I am actively looking to move the whole log and all to another site. If I was a paying member of Geocaching.com, I would be seeking litigation for breach of contract. If there was a way, I would be looking for it. We'll see if they can come back and make good. Admit it and apologize. Treat us with a little respect. Have some feeling and compassion for all the hard work of good hearted, well meaning people on all there geocache pages that were allowed to be created by Geocaching.com, yet have been un-intentionally destroyed in one day. I don't think they will ever re-gain my respect and praise unless they begin to take steps in this direction. Though it's hard to do I am forcing myself to remember: It's the site that's destroying the fun, Not the sport. I have to keep going, Keep searching. Keep meeting new people, Keep enjoying the outdoors. Always remembering, nothing good lasts forever. Well, having spoken my mind, and since they don't do it, I will... As a free member of Geocaching.com, I hereby apologize for the recent changes that have affected the member pages. Though I really don't know exactly what they have done or what they are doing about it, I can say, for them, that I am sorry for the inconvenience this change has caused. As time goes by, I can be sure that the problems will be corrected one-by-one, and appropriate documentation will be released related to this matter. However, until then, please except my humble apologies. Dave Waasdorp (Edenite) Free member of Geocaching.com

Its just a hunt for a lunch box, why be so serious!?! © Dan Wilson - http://www.Buckscaching.co.uk - Stash Notes, forums & Much more... Yea!! What's up? It's just a hunt for a lunch box! Why so strict on the code anyway? Jeremy, what on earth scared you into implementing this into your users pages? I saw the warning about Flash but that can't be the whole story. What's the scoop man? What's bothering you? "A wok is what you throw at a wabbit."
  7. quote:I don't understand what people are talking about with their cache HTML having been stripped out. My experience was that the cache description HTML as stored in the database was never altered. Any "stripping" was happening at the time that the displayed HTML was getting generated. The upshot being that if you have harmless HTML that was being filtered, and Jeremy then adds those tags to the "allowed" list, you don't have to "add it back in" to your cache description. It's still there from before. At least that's how it was for me. Jeremy re-enabled img align=right, and now my cache displays properly again. I didn't change anything when it got broken, and I didn't change anything when it got fixed. Tom Chatt (DeadReckoner) Well in my case, the page seemed to be missing MANY very necessary tags causing it to go completely haywire. It seemed as if the code was actually "stripped out" because when I looked at the code in the "Long Description" box, the code was not what I had previously put in there. What I did was format the page off-line and copy the HTML code into the "Long Description" box. Then I hit "Edit Listing" When the page refreshed, I copied the HTML code into Microsoft Word and compared the two. Then I realized exactly what tags were "stripped" With Jeremy's re-enabled some of the tags and with my own editing, the page is perfect again. The only real edit I had to make was to replace my font style tags to accrual font tags. Now if the style features were re-enabled, my original code would still be fine.
  8. Where is the list of tags we are allowed to use posted?
  9. Heres an example of the tags that are being stripped: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=80037 The page used to look like this: http://www.edenite.us/CachePageGood.htm I submitted the exact code in the good page but it stripped it all out to look like tha bad one.
