... given it a Kodachrome 25 slide treatment;
What's that?

I think it's about time GS implimented a world wide ranking system on their site much like cacherstats.
Furthermore everyones ranking should appear below their find count as well as below their name on the forums.
this an exsillint idea and they should do it everyone gets one creddit per find and looses a creddit for evry speeling and grammer errer in there forum posts, loose all creddits and your banned!!
-
that is a nice round number with a lot of zeros on the end...
Only another 2768 2351 now and she'll have reached 10000000000000002

The correct answer is probably to do a PQ for caches within whatever radius from home you're prepared to consider (e.g. 10 miles), export to GSAK, then sort the names and look for obvious clusters.
You'll get a listing like this ...
'Adams treasure' 'Agden View' 'All Fenced In' 'Ammo' 'Amnesty for TB Hoarders' 'Another one bites the dust.' 'Are you snookered?' 'Are you stumped in Bluebell Wood' 'BMVC Anthem 10: At whose bright presence' 'BMVC Anthem 11: Darkness flies away' 'BMVC Anthem 12: Hail, hail, hail, hail!' 'BMVC Anthem 1: Hail, Smiling Morn' 'BMVC Anthem 2: That tips the Hills with Gold' 'BMVC Anthem 3: Whose Rosy Fingers' 'BMVC Anthem 4: Open wide the Gates' 'BMVC Anthem 5: The Gates of Heaven' 'BMVC Anthem 6: All the Green Fields' 'BMVC Anthem 7: That Nature doth enfold' 'BMVC Anthem 8: Darkness ...' 'BMVC Anthem 9: ... flies away' 'Beyond The Grave - Sheffield Cemetery Multi' 'Birdwell Obelisk' 'Bishops Garden' 'Black Pearl' 'Black Widow ' 'Block 123 Evie In!'
... from which it's obvious there's a series called BMVC Anthem {whatever}, for example.
Perhaps a PM can give you detailed instructions on how to proceed if it's not already obvious from the sketch above.

Let's quit now. That won't be beaten. FAB-U-LOUS!
Just my humble opinion...but I think that is an excellent photo MaxThis tree is near Eccup Challenge 17 Taken on a maintenance trip. Cheers MaxKim.M
Quite uncharacteristic to have such lobbying, but I'm not above joining in: the photos by CnJnA and Ranger Roo are better!

Rooting around near SOTC#4 - Labtebricolephile.

I think it should be the second-placed photographer. Mrs B, who would that be?
-
Which of th above do you like???What do you think of "Water Woodland Walkies" or "Wonderful Woodland Walkies"????The names are fine. Reminds me of one I adopted, "Birdlip Walk", whose name I've never seen the need to change. I honestly don't think it makes much difference to finders provided the name isn't deliberately misleading or offensive.

Thanks I might call It Sheringwood
But could you put the link of the map so i can see each patches of the woods
OK, the MAGIC maps version:
It takes a bit of getting used to. Good luck.
-
You could simply name it after the wood, with no further adornment.
For example, if your cache was in the woodland that the A1082 runs through (just south of Sheringham) then you might call it
- Sheringwood
(as listed on the OS 50K map) ...
... or one of
- Broadwood's Dale
- Eastwood
- Maddis's Dale
- Old Wood
- Pretty Corner
- Sheringham Wood
- The Plains
(for the relevant patch of land as described on higher-resolution maps).

If a needs maintenance log appears on mine I do two things I look at who posted it and I look at the severity of the log if its mush I will disable it if its damp I will wait
Leaving your caches in a known-damp state isn't very nice for finders, is it?

Another one that really ought to be archived: Stridex Cache.
-
With hindsight I would not have published it
I think we need to know the reasons why.
No, we really don't. I've never seen such a disproportionate forensic examination of such a trivial decision on such a worthless subject. Move on.

Before maintenance at GCME0W
Oh, excellent GC code. A pity the cache is not cat-themed!
-
The only rule should be that the winner selects the next month's theme (or non-theme).
It doesn't need to be a photographic theme - my "Favourites" one worked well. Other ideas:
- D/T/T Grid: each cache a different Diff/Terrain and Type.
- Alphabet: each cache name starts with a different letter (or number, or symbol).
- Dearly Departed: the cache has been archived for at least a year.
- History Trail: each cache published in a different quarter-year.
Come on, use your imagination.
- D/T/T Grid: each cache a different Diff/Terrain and Type.
-
I suspect you're in a minority. I liked having the responsibility of defining the rules and picking the winner.
-
What a dire concept for a cache.
-
When I first looked at this I had no idea how to start (mainly as I could not see the dots!). Now I see; and it's not too far from me... will put on the to-do list!
Good man! Now I suppose I'd better check the micros are still in place since no other players are doing that for me

OP> ... interesting containers ...
There's one nearby that is a (plastic) banana hanging a little way up a tree. It gets loads of favourite votes, but to me it just looks like conspicuous littering (remnants of a student night out, that sort of thing). It just makes me cringe. I know I'm in the minority on this but, still, I'd be wary of "interesting" containers.
-
A purely vain enquiry, Roman!, but would you find this puzzle of mine a tolerable "mystery/unknown" experience?
-
... polarising filter ...
Added to the shopping list - good tip!
Can you recommend any good DSLR training resources on the web? I'm too mean to pay for a book.
Premium only caches problem.
