  1. Pressure is coming back up. Just something else to do when the weather is too bad for caching. Pressure plot of Frances Had to link. Could not get image to work.
  2. The barometer on my 60cs came in handy this past week. The pressure dropped like a rock and after a few minutes had passed it went back up quickly. At that point, I new that hurricane Charley had passed by. Unfortunately, I can't do a screen capture because I can only get back 48 hours, and I needed the gps to get around blocked roads. However my 60CS reports my minimum elevation as -178 feet. The unit has not been below 110 feet above msl. During the storm I stopped watching the gps when the ambient pressure dropped below 960mb. I wish I could have taken a screen capture of the graph with xImage but I did not have xImage on my laptop and there was no power for the desktop. Rich BTW Home is near n 28 12.600 w 081 38.800
  3. I am looking to buy City Select. Amazon lists it for $107, but it is version 5. Is there a free upgrade to 6 if I buy 5? RichM
  4. Package includes: # GPSMAP® 76CS # One basemap below: Americas: Americas Autoroute Package includes: * GPSMAP 60CS * One basemap below*: Americas: Americas Recreational Garmin lists different basemaps. Don't know how much more detail there is.
  5. Thanks for the maps. That is the area I travel for work! I still don't know which to get. How detailed is the basemap for th 76 cs? and how autoraoutale is it? I don't mind spending a little more to get autorouting riight out of the box. RichM
  6. I really liked the compass on the Vista for caching. The barrometer is not something I used.
  7. Thanks for the quick responses. I guess I will be planning to upgrade to CS sooner rather than later. How much space (MB) does CS data use? Should I look at the 76cs instead? getting more expensive Thanks, Rich
  8. I am considering a 60cs to replace my recently sold Vista. I know the basemap is limited, but want to hold off on a $100+ map purchase to get basic autorouting if I can. Is there any autorouting functionality on the basemap? i.e. coiuld I create a waypoint based on known lat and long and autoroute to it with the existing basemap? also, Is there any address information (major roads) in the basemap than can be used to autoroute? Thanks, Rich
