  1. The TSRORexx Crew are 5 and 3 years. I've found that Terrain of 3 or higher is more than they can handle. Many of the terrain 2's I wouldn't try if there's a significant distance to walk as you'll inevitably be carrying more than a GPSr. As for your youngest, a child backpack is a necessity. The more you pay, the more comfortable they are and more stable they are when you set the pack down to crouch and poke around the bushes. I cannot remember the brand my buddy uses for his two year old when he's fishing/geo-caching, but it's quite the set-up and very durable. I'd say, eBay it! ::smirk:: As other posters have stated, you may want to stick to the parks and other urban locales when the kids are in tow (Terrain 1) and leave the more arduous caches for when the kids are with the grandparents/sitter/friends. Happy caching!
  2. Bezekira, the TSRORexx Crew and I (4 total) are likely to be there since family are in town the following weekend when the RCGDS event is going on at Rancho Nuke-o. Bez has been eyeing Stockton for awhile so this is just the excuse we need to come on down.
  3. Ah, looking to ditch me, eh? So, any nice ladies looking for a single caching buddy out there?
  4. SactoPirateCrew: I'm out with my kids caching nearly every weekend. The TSRORexx Crew is 5 & 3, my son being the youngest. Your boy and mine may have a good time getting dirty while we cache. Judging by the pattern of your caches found that I've followed recently, you're in the Natomas area. I work at McClellan. Perhaps an afterwork geocaching gathering is in order? ~~~TSRO_Rexx
  5. I recall seeing something similar to this with a racing TB. A TB had raced ahead to DC, apparently by skipping some states which it wasn't allowed to do by the race rules. A "TB Bounty Hunter" confiscated the racing TB. Clicking on this profile (and I think it was TB Bounty Hunter), the user image was a big pile of "dead" TBs that this user confiscated. I'm not sure if this is a sanctioned thing or a TB police function. There are plenty of "rules lawyers" in most games, geo-caching has plenty of places for that kind of mentality to develop. The card you found may be the way this particular person leaves evidence to the TB's removal. All the above is my conclusion from observed TB/caches/profiles. The reality of the situation may be more cryptic.
  6. Look up jeo and his caches. I've been very satisfied with everyone he's placed. Use those caches as your centre pieces and nab all the caches nearby. 47dad47 has some great ones as well. Uncle Al's virtuals are enjoyable too. I recently did a caching blitz from Land Park heading south on Franklin Rd. It was pretty rewarding. Also, as far as Mystery Caches go, try Cache of the Rings (GCK88M), my favourite cache thus far. See you caching SactoPirate Crew! ~~~TSRO_Rexx (we met briefly at RCDGS Sept)
