  3. I am wondering if there are people around who already made some experience with the Garmin Colorado and the Heart Rate Monitor and/or the Speed/Cadence Sensor. I would be especially interested if both devices can be connected to the Colorado at the same time or there is just one connection at the time possible. I really would appreciate your opinion because I am thinking about getting the Colorado together with those two gadgets mentioned. Atschi
  4. Either use an external card reader to format the card or connect the 60CSx via USB to your PC and change in the Interface Setup of the GPS to USB Mass Storage. Like that you will see the card as a normal drive in the file explorer of your PC from which you can format the card.
  5. Here you find the Transp.2exe tool which was mentioned above. It is explained in the Transp_2A_Instructions.pdf how it works.
  6. Thanks - but I am looking for a "real" downloadable program. According my understanding Mapsource just comes with Garmin products, but is not free available on the Internet. Thanks, Atschi
  7. Is there a freeware around that makes it possible to split track (GPX) into segments of (for example) 500 track points. I know that it can be done in TTQV, but this is not freeware. Cheers, Atschi
  8. And how exactly do you intend to charge a 60CSx with a Solio? Remember: the batteries have to be charged in an external charger and I don't think the Solio offers this option (please correct me if I am wrong!) There are a few other solar panels on the market that can charge AA batteries, for example the Silva Solar I AA
  9. Thanks a lot Ernst! Actually all "old" firmware versions of the GPSMAP60 family can be downloaded here. Please be aware that a downgrading will delete most of your settings! (you even have to change back from feet to meter ). Atschi
  10. Yes - I sent an email to the Garmin support one week ago but didn't receive an answer, yet. I also told them that this bug is potentially life-threatening. Just imagine to call for help in an case of emergency and give a wrong location information...
  11. After upgrading the Software Version of my GPSMAP 60CSx to the latest Verison (3.10) I found, that with the Position Format "Swiss-Grid" and the Map Datum "CH-1903" the with the Swiss-Grid Format indicated position is 10 kilometers too far south. I am wondering if anybody made the same experience with another National Position Format. Cheers, Atschi
  12. By far the best mount for all kinds of bikes is this one: Touratech Mount for Garmin 60C series. It's a little bit pricy, but compared to a broken receiver... I am using it for more than a year now on my mountain bike (mostly on very heavy trails) and never had any issues with it. Check their shop (TouraTech Shop)- they have all kinds of high quality GPS accessories.
  13. Why don't you try this: IExif? It's a software solution. But if you carry your GPS with you, record your tracks and have the time of your camera synchronized with your GPS it will work just fine for what you need it for and it is much cheaper (and more usable with this tepertures you exect to have) than the cable you are looking for...
  14. This may is what you are searching for: Mapcenter Cheers, Atschi
