I have been to the Lake Of the Ozarks a lot. It has everything from go carts to quiet secluded coves. If you want peace and quiet stay off the main lake and on the smaller arms of the lake. There is some great fishing in the lake and on the rivers feeding the lake. Canoeing the area rivers is also a very pleasant way to spend the day. There is also a lot of "outlet shopping" if that maters. I have found quite a few very nice caches in the area. Try the area around Ha Ha Tonka. It it beautiful.

I did write everyone in the cache log after I dropped the coins and they either said they did not take it, did not see it or they have not responded.

Using your logic, a bank that gets robbed brought it on them-self because they don't give out money. I person who is attacked brought it on them-self because they were in the wrong place. The house that gets robbed brought it on them-self because the owner forgot to lock the back door. Does blaming the victim make sense in these extreme examples? Of course not, then why would it make sense regarding a few cheap coins? It does not.

I'm sorry but I don't agree that I partially brought this on myself because I don't trade. I believe honest coin collectors know to log coins found in caches and if they use this forum, most likely, they would move the coin on. I would guess the losers who stole the coin had never heard of an AJAYHAWKFAN coin before seeing it pop up on the cache page, therefore even if 1000 coins were in circulation it would have made no difference. BTW, I do trade from time to time. Right now, I am trying to collect a trackable state coin from every state I have found a cache. By looking at the AJAYHAWKFAN coins in my profile. You will see a lot of familiar names that have traded for one of my coins (or gave to them as a gift).

Last week I was on a business trip in WI and MN. While there I left 3 AJAYHAWKFAN coins in caches. 2 coins have already been taken from the cache but not logged. (The other one my be missing as well but I have not received an email from anyone saying it is missing.) I have had others go missing as well but 2 out of 3 within only a few days is VERY discouraging. Some LOSER has it in their collection and I would have been happy for the LOSER to have the coin if the LOSER only logged it.

I placed one of my coins in a cache in SW Missouri. A cacher logged the find and wrote that he took the coin on the cache page. He never logged the coin. I wrote him a few time asking him to please log the coin even if he was going to keep it. He never responded to any emails. My guess is that he planned on keeping all along.

Once the coin leaves your hand (or a TB for that matter) there is nothing you can do about it. I also don't think it would matter if you have something engraved on the coin or written on the log page about it not being sold. It is out of your hands it is out of your control. You can't let it bother you. I gave a coin to MOGA for a door prize. The winner sold it on eBay about a week later. There was nothing I could do to stop it so I changed how I though about the sale. I decided I would be flattered that someone, I did not know, wanted my activated coin and was willing to pay $68 for it.

I activate all of my coins because they are mine. I had them minted and paid for them all. I made the coins to be placed in caches or given away. I have also traded for a few choice coins. I have never sold any of my coins so that is the only way to get one.

I'm looking for a Florida LE and will trade a gold AJAYHAWKFAN coin to get it. The AJAYHAWKFAN coin will be activated.

There is a lot to do and see. The area is beautiful. There are also some wonderful caches. If you are looking for numbers Springfield has them. If you are looking for caches that take some nice hikes they are all over. The Current River is great for canoeing and fishing as it the Jack's Fork, North Fork and Piney River. If you are in Springfield spot at Bass Pro Shop, national headquarters. The store is much bigger then any other store like it. They also have an incredible museum next door. Then there is also Branson if you like music show. The trout fishing is great there as well. If you want more information drop me an email. Now there's the only coin that is not mine in my collection, but I consider the AJAYHAWKFAN coin that I have as a gift. I also log it in and out once in awhile and share the numbers with others along the way. I did not find it in a cache though, it seems to have showed up in the mail. Whether or not you are a Jayhawk fan, you have to admire the design, this coin is the nicest designed and finished coin I have seen. I have released 39 USA coins and 35 AJAYHAWKFAN coins in the wild. I started with the USA coins about a year and a half ago. The first ones I put out got snatched up and never logged. However, I have been having much better luck with the later ones I have placed. I believe because the USA coins are fairly common. One the other hand, almost all of my AJAYHAWKFAN coins have been picked up and kept. I knew that would most likely happen when I had them made. I only hope the people who pick it up logs it in.

I checked out the closest 660 caches from my house in Kansas City, MO and there were 3 coins, 2 USA and one MD coin.

I received my Civil War Coins today and they look great!! I only have one question about them. Could you not have made the tracking number smaller? I was able to read them with a low powered microscope.

I have been receiving a lot of requests from people to purchase one of my AJAYHAWKFAN geocoins. They are not for sale, however there is one on ebay for the NNJC charitable cause.
